What to watch on Thursday, September 22...

I hope you've been doing your jumping jacks, because you're going to need all the stamina you can muster for tonight's TV lineup! So many good things!
SEASON 3 PREMIERE, 8pm, NBC
Community
In "Biology 101," Jeff has a run-in with his new biology teacher (played by OMAR from The Wire!) and gets himself kicked out of class. Plus the rest of the group speculates as to whether Pierce will be back for the semester and Dean Pelton deals with his newest rival, guest-star John Goodman!
SERIES PREMIERE, 8pm, ABC
Charlie's Angels
For years America has demanded a new version of Charlie's Angels, but with little-known actresses, an unnecessarily hunky Bosley, and production value reminiscent of V.I.P. We finally got our show! In tonight's premiere, the ladies take on nothing less than a human trafficking ring while also investigating the murder of a colleague. Good times.
8pm, CW
The Vampire Diaries
Klaus and Stefan's bizarre plot to convert werewolves into vampire-werewolves continues apace, plus Tyler and his mom have an awkward conversation when he discovers she attempted to murder his vampire-with-benefits Caroline. Typical mom stuff, you know?
SERIES PREMIERE, 9pm, CBS
Person of Interest
From the brain of J.J. Abrams comes another procedural/serial hybrid, this time about a washed-up CIA agent turned sexy hobo (Jim Caviezel) who's enlisted by a mysterious billionaire (Michael Emerson) to prevent prevent murders before they happen. I've seen the pilot and while the explanation of the murder-prediction device borders on hilarious, the show's super well-done and not very boring. (CBS, feel free to use that quote on the DVD cover.)
SEASON 8 PREMIERE, 9pm, NBC
The Office
We're officially in a post-Michael Scott world! It might take some getting used to, but fortunately the Robert California phase of this show is well underway, as tonight James Spader replaces Kathy Bates as Sabre CEO. He is hilarious! In tonight's Season 8 opener, the staff of the Scranton branch discovers a list with only certain names on it and speculates as to what it could mean.
SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm, NBC
Prime Suspect
One of the fall's most-anticipated new shows, Prime Suspect replaces Helen Mirren of the original British version with Maria Bello and one seriously funky hat. In tonight's premiere, NYC homicide detective Jane Timoney must deal with departmental sexism while trying to solve a murder. Go get 'em, lady!

I'm watching the Big Bang Theory and The Office (A must-see). I'm going to check out Person of Interest and Prime Suspect. They both look pretty good. But, I'm thinking Person of Interest will for sure be a hit. Just guessing though.
Any managerial predictions?
James Spader joined the cast, but he would be too obvious of a manager choice (you would think). All I got is one of the current employees. Maybe Andy.
Ah, Andy. They could do worse than promoting the man from Cornell.
I have way too many things to watch thank god for my pvr: Community, Parks, Office, VD, TBBT, Person of Interest, Secret Circle & Mentalist
I have been waiting so long for this night! COMMUNITY!!!! And the rest of NBC Comedy done right! Except for Whitney of course. Other noteworthy shows include Sunny, Archer, and possibly Person of Interest. Nothing more I hate than CBS, but that show sounds very promising. But then again, so did Jericho. And that one other CBS show I watched that didn't last long at all.
Only the 2-new episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" for me. I've been waiting for that season premiere ever since last year's finale!
Gonna watch 2 of my returning favs, Big Bang and Mentalist. I may also check out Charlie's Angels and Person of Interest.
Community, Prime Suspect and The Mentalist
TVD, secret circle, I might check out X Factor
RETURNING: Community, Parks & Rec, The Office, The Big Bang Theory & Archer. NEW: J.J. Abram's Person Of Interest and Charlie's Angels. LATE-NIGHT: Conan.
Ah so many good things back again. Community, TVD, Archer, The Office and Person of Interest premiere.

The Vampire Diaries, Person of Interest, The Mentalist, Prime Suspect, The Secret Circle, and maybe Charlie's Angels (to see how bad it is...)
Grey's, The Secret Circle, Ellen Pompeo, Jane Lynch and Julianna Margulies. Its a good night for TV
Community, TVD, Person of Interest, The Mentalist and I gotta check out Charlies Angels and Whitney for the Dead Pool game :P
WOW! It's almost easier to telly you what I WON'T be watching.
Alright, here we go: Community will be first (of course), TVD, The Secret Circle, Person Of Interest, The Office, Parks and Rec, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Archer, The Mentalist, and Charlies Angels for kicks (mostly because of Minka Kelly).
At long bloody last... COMMUNITY! Get in!
Also, The Big Bang Theory, Archer, Person of Interest, The Mentalist, Prime Suspect (I suppose), TVD's, The Secret Circle(?), Charlies Angels(?), NTSF and Grey's. Ok, I'm going to need a couple extra hours added to the day!
Community, Charlie's Angels, Person of Interest, The Office, Parks & Recreation, The secret Circle, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Mentalist, Archer, NTSF:SD:SUV::
I noticed we have nearly identical line-ups for tonight. Only one show off. I have absolutely no idea what in the hell NTSF:SD:SUV:: is, but aside from that, nicely done.
May I congratulate you for an exquisite taste in TV entertainment.
NTSF:SD:SUV:: is simply a short 15 minute comedy very much like Childrens' Hospital (which I also watch). It's a small treat with a few nice gags, but not as fun as Children's Hospital, though. Usually I don't watch this much on Thursdays, but now there are those few pilots. I'm checking out Charlie's Angels because of the ladies, and Person of Interest because J.J. Abrams and Jonathan Nolan are behind it. We'll see if they are anything I'll continue watching. In the case of C'sA I really doubt it. But at least I'll have an opinion about them if anyone asks. And The Secret Circle is on my list because I watched the pilot last week and I'm giving it a second chance. It's not really my cup of tea, but maybe it'll turn out to be a guilty, hidden pleasure of mine. A show that I don't admit watching in public, even though I do. I guess today's episode determines it.moreless
Exactly what I was thinking, but I'm half way around the world from the US and have to download all the shows that I like so I can watch the day after; so I gotta wonder if you guys actually seat in front of a tv for 3 or 4 straight hours or abuse your PVR??? (and then seat in front of a tv for 3 or 4 hrs!!!!!) :p
I'm with Arch_Angel88 on this one. I download or watch streaming on-line. I can't fry my brain by watching all those shows in one night. There was a time when I did that, but I noticed that next week when it was time to watch the next episodes, I didn't remember what had happened the last week. My brain simply goes on auto-pilot after a few shows, especially if the plots are complicated. And the shows after that are not recorded in by brain. So I need to take breaks, which makes the internet my best friend.
Haha! I thought I was the last person on the planet without a PVR. Unfortunately, though, I too, am a slave to downloads. I watch the important shows live (cough-munity), and then download the rest. Also, I try to portion out the viewing in 2 hour sessions (I feel like less of a sloth that way).
