What to watch on Thursday, June 13...
Live, 8pm, ABC
Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night
Titus the Trick Shot Toddler returns to pit his marksmanship against that of Metta World Peace. No word on whether tonight’s other guest, Jack Black, will put on a clinic of mad Skee-Ball skills. Tune in to find out at 8pm Eastern / 7pm Central, or after Game 4 of the NBA Finals in time zones further west.
“Holier Than Thou” describes Beth’s demeanor as she musters support for saving a hospital on the verge of closing. Can a little divine life-coaching temper her over-aggressive approach, or will her harried friends nip her crusade in the bud even faster than NBC is trying to?
Hey everybody, it’s time to play Guess That Premise! Today’s question: Is the Axe Giant of Syfy’s latest original movie Axe Giant: A) The mascot of a poorly thought-through body spray ad campaign, B) A level boss from Castlevania who escapes into the real world, or C) Lumberjack and beloved nugget of Americana Paul Bunyan, who terrorizes a bunch of teenagers at a correctional boot camp? Leave your answer in the comments, and if you’re correct, you win a free copy of the What to Watch Tonight home game!
When you’re a spy show, you can’t let your characters get too comfortable. So Michael’s Miami homecoming in “Forget Me Not” is tempered by Agent Strong’s orders that he not contact Fiona, Sam, or Jesse. If Michael wants a chance to thwart the latest threat to his cover, he’ll have to stay incommunicado—for now.
SEASON 13 PREMIERE, 9pm, A&E
The series’ five-episode final stretch gets underway with the story of a woman battling heroin addiction. Can she avoid the mistakes her father made and get clean for her own children’s sake?
Mike grapples with the moral implications of undercover work in “Guadalajara Dog,” which finds him and Briggs setting rival gangs at one another’s throats. Not for any particular crime-fighting purpose, but just to see if they’ll recreate the “The Rumble” setpiece from West Side Story.
Will’s hallucinations are cranking up several notches in “Relevés”; now, the stag he sees everywhere has begun sporting a top hat and singing “Hello My Baby.” Naturally, this makes the team skeptical of Will’s belief that the copycat killer is still prowling about. It also gives Hannibal an opening to subtly persuade Jack that the profiler may be a killer in waiting.
Ed. note: Noel's going to review both tonight's episode and next week's finale, so check back this evening to join the discussion!
SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 10pm, TBS
Sullivan & Son
“The Pilot, One More Time” sees Susan’s ambitious husband (Ken Jeong) arriving at both the bar and at a career crossroads. Meanwhile, Melanie launches a support group for befuddled sports fans. Expected discussion topics include the infield fly rule, tennis’s scoring system, and the entirety of cricket.
Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous
The ladies are throwing themselves at our hero in “Zach Stone Is Gonna Be the Zachelor.” Because the ladies can’t resist the type of bad boy who blatantly mangles the pronunciation of digraphs when forming portmanteaus.
