What to Watch Tonight: Grimm, Teen Wolf, and Mythbusters

What to watch on Monday, August 13...

You know what they say about Monday, the 13th? Nothing! But I don't understand that because honestly I think Mondays are WAY scarier than Fridays, so Friday being the horror industry's starlet is a little weird to me. Regardless, something is in the air tonight—tons of finales, premieres, and the return of shows that've been hibernating for the duration of the Olympics! Here's what's on TV tonight:

SERIES FINALE, 9pm, TNT
The Closer
In "Last Word" a street hustler catches sight of a mysterious figure burying a woman in LA's Griffith Park, which sparks an investigation. But Brenda's fixation on Philip Stroh may threaten not only her career, but also her life. Will this series go out with a bang, or a bang?

SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm, Bravo
Gallery Girls
In today's global economy, I'm going to guess fewer people are buying high-end art, which might have something to do with why landing a job in the art world is as cut-throat as this series makes it out to seem. Though I doubt it's an entirely accurate peek into the landscape, Gallery Girls will try to give some semblance of a real-life view into the art gallery world. In "All Tomorrow's Parties," Claudia and Chantal get ready to open their own gallery, Kerri gets accepted for an internship, and Amy takes too hard to the liquor at an after-work party. Business foul!

SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 10pm, NBC
Grimm
In the second season premiere, "Bad Teeth," Hank struggles to come to grips with Nick's double-life while Nick struggles to comes to grips with the return of his mother, who he thought to be dead. Meanwhile, Monroe tries his best to break Juliette out of her coma—but not without Rosalee's help, no doubt. So much to revisit!

SHARK WEEK SPECIAL, 10pm, Discovery
Mythbusters
It's Mythbusters! It's Shark Week! It's both! In tonight's very special episode, "Jawsome Shark Special," the Mythbusters crew will discuss the top 25 shark myths of all time. I wonder what the #1 shark myth is. Could it be that they can swallow humans whole with one quick gulp? I guess we'll have to tune in to find out, because I'm pretty sure that's true.

SEASON 2 FINALE, 10pm, MTV
Teen Wolf
It's like the end of an era or something! A Season 2 era! In tonight's "Master Plan," last week's shocking murder on the lacrosse field inspires Scott to uncover Gerard's master plan as quickly as possible. But Derek wants to take matters into his own hands, looking for another way to undermine Gerard. So who will get to the big G first, assuming anyone does at all?

Almost all the premieres are reality shows? Ewww, no thanks, except for Major Crimes, which I'll for sure watch.

The Closer (I'll miss you Brenda Lee!); Warehouse 13; Teen Wolf; Alphas; Grimm; and maybe Bunheads if I get bored.

Really, Major Crimes not getting a shout out here, just a little line? I'd think it could share the spotlight with The Closer at least.

Also, as much as I love Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, that's a rerun. A good rerun, yes, but a rerun none the less.

Anyway, for me it's:

The Closer

Major Crimes

Hell's Kitchen

Mythbusters (it wasn't on the DVR because it's got a custom run name and number, smart)

Warehouse 13

Alphas

Teen Wolf. Is it seriously over already? How did that happen? It seems like only a couple of months ago I did a marathon of season o- oh, it was only a couple of months ago.

Bring on 24 episodes for season 3!

I KNOW, RIGHT?! Ugh, I'm so excited for the finale but sad at the same time.

The contradiction that comes with the final episode of a season of a show one loves...on the one hand, "YAY, answers!" and on the other "Long break, possible cliffhanger, doubtlessly a list of new questions".

Teen Wolf !!!!!!!! So glad it gets a 24 episode third season .

TEEN WOLF.... I'm sorry I had to yell, I can't hold in the excitement. :) Also, I'm kind of shocked C. Killian added a blurb for it. She seemed to steer clear of this show when writing blurbs. But, thanks for included it this week.

lol just looked at that cast pic for Grimm, I think the tree backdrop is falling down...is that on purpose or what? I get that the show's premise is kind of about pushing the boundaries of the fairytale world...but the droopy background seems out of place, no?

I'm lucky enough to be able to catch Grimm at 8pm, which is good since Alphas is on at 10pm.

TEEN WOLF!

12 episodes have never felt so fleeting.

Let's be honest: considering how good this show is at pacing, if we got a 100 episode season, we'd still be like, "It's over already? I need 800 more, please."
