What to Watch Tonight: Justified, White Collar, and Southland

What to watch on Tuesday, January 24...

Either you've had several hundred thousand dollars' worth of plastic surgery or you're just plain lookin' GREAT today! What's your secret? Just kidding, no time, I've got stuff to watch!

10pm, FX
Justified
Tonight Raylan teams up with a former lady colleague to track down the murderer of a fellow Marshal. Meanwhile, Boyd attempts to rustle up some trouble with Dickie Bennett. I guess it's like they say: Boyd will be Boyd! (Do they say that?)

10pm, USA
White Collar
Tonight White Collar continues to explore just how handsome Neal can look in disguise when he poses as a substitute teacher at an exclusive prep school in order to locate some pilfered scholarship funds. We've all had substitute teachers that looked like this right?

10pm, BET
The Game
A lot of people may not have noticed, but The Game is one of the highest-rated sitcoms on television, besting even many network shows. Bonus: It's actually funny. I mean, it makes ME laugh, anyway. Tonight's episode tackles the issue of unintentional racism, plus Melanie and Tasha go at it at a fashion show, obviously.

10pm, TNT
Southland
Never a dull moment for these guys and gals: Tang and Cooper get attacked on the job, putting their physical shortcomings to the test. Meanwhile Lydia and Ruben investigate a convenience store murder and Rucker becomes captain. Maybe he'll give everyone a half-day off, or like, a pizza party? They need it!

9pm, ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC
State of the Union Address
If you don't know, the annual presidential State of the Union Address is close in spirit to that segment of The Wendy Williams Show, "How They Doin'," where she checks in on former child stars who are now all grown. In this case, Wendy Williams is President Obama and the former child star is America. Tune in to see if our mean, bad extension-having stage mom (Congress?) stole all our money again.

Maybe State of the Union and watching shows on the DVR.

Switched at Birth and Jane By Design.

Why did FOX even bother airing new episodes of Glee, New Girl, and Raising Hope last week if they knew they would just be going into repeats / the SotU segment the week after? Airing one new episode, then going on a break makes very little sense.

Ooh, State of the Union looks like fun. I wonder which network will win the ratings!

I still haven't started Justified or Southland and now I'm considering adding The Game to the long list of shows I want to watch!

I'll never understand why networks bring a TV show back one week and then have it go off again the next..

Me neither! Despite the fact that it is just plain pointless, it also screws with your understanding of some of the story arcs.
