What to Watch Tonight: Melissa & Joey, Dogs in the City, and Hatfields & McCoys Part 3

What to watch on Wednesday, May 30...

Four-day work weeks are the best. Celebrate the fact that this one's basically half-over by checking out what's on TV:

SERIES PREMIERE, 8pm, CBS
Dogs in the City
The onslaught of reality programming continues! Dogs in the City is basically CBS's version of Dog Whisperer, featuring "New York City dog guru" Justin Silver as a Cesar Milan type who works with urban canines and their human companions. In tonight's premiere, "I Speak Dog," Justin works with the owners of a skateboarding bulldog, a model agency owner with an agressive dog, and a single father with an obese dog. CBS, your summer reality shows! Woof!

SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 8pm, ABC Family
Melissa & Joey
ABC Family's favorite former teen heartthrobs return for their second season tonight with two back-to-back episodes. In "I Can Manage," Joe hits some snags after taking over the management of Mel's home renovation project. In "If You Can't Stand the Heat," the home renovation continues to wreak havoc when the lack of privacy that results creates tension between Mel and Joe. Plus cute '90s nostalgia.

8pm, Fox
So You Think You Can Dance
Auditions continue in Los Angeles. Cat Deeley continues being charming. Hopefully we won't meet any more jerks like that Von guy from last week!

SEASON 18 FINALE, 9pm, CW
America's Next Top Model: British Invasion
Go Sophie! Go Sophie go Sophie go Sophie! (She's totally going to beat Laura when Tyra crowns a winner tonight, right? We hope so.)

MINISERIES FINALE, 9pm, History
Hatfields & McCoys (Part 3)
History Channel's three-part, big-budget, Kevin-Costner-starring miniseries wraps things up tonight as the unrest between the two families continues to build, culminating in a big ol' battle on New Year's Day.

PLUS NEW EPISODES OF...
I (Almost) Got Away With It, 9 p.m., Investigation Discovery
America's Best Dance Crew, 10 p.m., MTV
Brave New World with Stephen Hawking, 10 p.m., Science
Hot in Cleveland, 10 p.m., TV Land
The Soup, 10 p.m., E!
Toddlers & Tiaras, 10 p.m., TLC
Total Blackout, 10 p.m., Syfy
White Heat, 10 p.m., BBC America
Happily Divorced, 10:30 p.m., TV Land

LATE-NITE PICKS:
Alan Alda on The Colbert Report, 11:30 p.m., Comedy Central
Dan Rather on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, 11 p.m., Comedy Central
Howie Mandel on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, 12:37 a.m., CBS
Mindy Cohn and Kim Fields on Watch What Happens: Live, 11 p.m., Bravo

What are you watching tonight?

Burn Notice repeats on UPN (or at least the bastardized version of it that's left). Got to catch up on season 4 before season 5 comes out on DVD. May have to catch Alan Alda on Cobert online later.

I'll probably continue my marathon of Teen Wolf. I only started watching because I heard Price would be photo-recapping it this summer, but it's actually pretty damn good.

Stiles alone makes the show watchable. That guy is hilarious!

lol!! You too, huh? Price re-capping Season 2 is pretty much the reason why I wound up watching Season 1 (which I finished yesterday). It was actually pretty good!

Haha! I swear TVD and Teen Wolf should pay Price some kind of royalties.

I even went online to watch the first 10 minutes of season 2 and can't wait for Price's photo recaps =) Who knew Teen Wolf was actually this good?

I could not stand the first two episodes I watched. I was pretty bored and couldn't find myself enjoying the characters. (And I'm usually pretty easy on shows) When does it start getting better?

...Did you finish Nikita and/or Cougar Town, btw? :P

I, too, was very skeptical, but watched and am hooked. Shocking that the people who created the abomination that is Jersey Shore could actually make something compelling, tightly-written, and really quite hilarious and terrifying.

The simple fact that Mellisa & Joey is one of the "highlights" is a clear indication of the quality (or complete lack there-of) of tonights TV.

Side note to fellow TVD fans - The Wikipedia character write-ups for the books are pretty fricking hilarious.

"As they leave, a good kitsune gives Elena a bouquet for Stefan. Damon's curiosity gets the better of him, and the flower turns him human with one smell."

Haha! What?! Well, I guess we know how Elena could be de-vampirized if the writers so choose. Just introduce the mystical bouquet of humanity!

Whahaha: I came to "Stefan is Elena's true beloved and soulmate due to the "Soul Mate Principle", which is a silver cord connecting destined soul mates heart to heart. " and then I had to stop because I was laughing so hard.

I know The Secret Circle and The Vampire Diaries are written by the same author, but geez, the silver cord mythology is from The Secret Circle books, not TVD. And it links the Conants and the Blake families as a type of destiny.

I would accept Bonnie being a 'hotass' but a badass she is not

God, Kat Graham is so hot. But it's because of her attitude, which Bonnie barely has, and the way she moves, which Bonnie barely does.
