What to watch on Tuesday, January 3...

While the days continue to be short, dark, and freezing (Los Angeles dipped into the 60s yesterday!), the TV is starting to come alive again with new episodes! Welcome back, new things!
8pm, CBS
NCIS
After weeks of reruns, your aunt's favorite procedural is finally back, and this week's episode involves the murder of a navy commander. Hold on, let me verify that—yup, my wild guess was correct, it's about the murder of a navy commander. But while the team is off investigating that, they run into E.J. Barrett!! (A former character. Ask your aunt).
SERIES PREMIERE, 8:30pm, ABC
Work It
Well, it's finally 2012 and Work It! is a real show and it premieres tonight. Make sure to tune in and see the new comedy series everyone will be chattin' about at the watercooler tomorrow: Two ordinary guys named Lee and Angel decide they must dress as women in order to become pharmaceutical reps. But in a super poignant twist, the "ladies" suddenly find themselves surrounded by mentally handicapped types who can't detect the obvious physical differences between men and women.
SERIES PREMIERE, 9pm, ABC
Celebrity Wife Swap
How many Horsemen of the Apocalypse does this show represent? One? All four? Anyway, tune into the premiere of ABC's worst show of 2012 (except for maybe Work It) as Ted Haggard switches families with Gary Busey.
MIDSEASON PREMIERE, 8pm, ABC Family
Switched at Birth
Tonight Daphne finds herself on the prowl when she follows Emmett to a music festival in order to get him alone (well, alone at a music festival). Meanwhile, John insists that Regina be there when Bay is reunited with Angelo.
10pm, NBC
Parenthood
Parenthood: Nobody ever said it would be easy. But someone at NBC did say that Parenthood would be full of attractive people involved with complicated and/or heartwarming incidents, and they were right about THAT. Tonight the Bravermans take a road trip, and Adam gets in some quality time with Haddie during the drive. Meanwhile Sarah and Drew deal with an embarrassing dilemma and Kristina struggles with disciplining Max.
SERIES PREMIERE, 9pm, ABC Family
Jane By Design
If you liked the fashion industry subplot of Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, then you will LOVE Jane By Design. In tonight's pilot, a fashion-forward teenager is mistaken for a grown-up and scores a job as an assistant to a powerful fashion executive (Andie McDowell). Right on top of that, Rose?

NCIS, NCIS LA, Switched At Birth, Parenthood....and wow, i truly do have eclectic taste in shows.
Umm...yeah didn't even want to horrify myself with Work It but I'm looking forward to it being shredded so can't wait to read that!
Switched at Birth, Last Man Standing, Todd Margaret, Unforgettable. I refuse to watch the Work It pilot.
Sad, only Daily Show is worth the effort!
Unforgettable :)
There's a lot to watch tonight. NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Switched at Birth, Flashpoint, Jane By Design.
NCIS, NCIS LA, Unforgettable, Parenthood, Body of Proof. Check out Jane by design
work it, just this once out of morbid fascination.
Parenthood and Unforgettable.
NCIS, NCIS: LA, and Unforgettable.
parenthood
NCIS, Parenthood & Body Of Proof
Nowt.
Unforgettable
Nothing
It's nice to be back into somewhat regular TV, although now we get a lot of reruns in the mix until the summer finales.
NCIS (although it's getting too predictable and familiar) and Last Man Standing.
Just the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson tonight.
I'm tempted to watch Work It, but I'd rather not help their ratings.
Parenthood, Last Man Standing, Body of Proof and Unforgettable
Switched at birth, parenthood
I love it how of all the stars on late-nite picks, Whitney is the only one who doesn't have a link to a TV.com page. Outstanding.
Switched at Birth. And if I get really really bored I'll try Jane By Design just so I won't sit staring idly at nothing :D
Switched At Birth, Body of Proof, Unforgettable
Switched at Birth, finally!
Switched at Birth, Last Man Standing, Parenthood, and Conan.
I was going to try Work It just for Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), but then I thought of all the potential up-skirts and decided against it.
Recap of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret and Work It, because it may be canceled midway through the pilot or the spirit of Bosom Buddies (or just Tom Hanks) might appear and ask them "WTF?"
Hey, collective TV.com staff. Happy New Year. Um, I'm just wondering if you will be reviewing the premier of Work It? Because if you are, I'll subject myself to the very probable 22 minutes of torture so I can fully appreciate the many insults you're sure to write. But if you're not, I would be thankful for a heads up. No need to watch that crap if you're not.
Happy New Year to you, too! Don't worry, Tim will be writing about it. Get ready!
Thanks! *shallow intake of breath* - Here we go!
lmao, you really are a masochist aren't you archangel? Let me guess, you are one of those who endure watching Terra Nova the whole painful season, only to rejoice knowing what Mr. Surette was taling about (or better said, ripping off), am I right?
Again, you made me laugh :D
Haha! You've got me pegged, FlorBlyth.
My family and I did not felt any torture watching Terra Nova, but we love it :D
NCIS & Work It (like everyone else, just to confirm how bad it really is)
just Parenthood, Mindy Kaling on Conan, and Christina Ricci on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Jane By Design didn't look too bad, but won't bother since they always cancel the good ones (Kyle XY, Chloe King, State of Georgia) but keep all the crap ones, Melissa & Joey being the only exception.
NCIS, NCIS:LA, Switched at Birth (finally back :D) and Unforgettable
Body of Proof & Unforgettable
Flashpoint, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Switched at Birth (online?), Work It (online?... My curiousity is piqued.)...
Wait...Flashpoint's back??
Around October 19th, I think, ION started airing Flashpoint on Tuesdays at 10 pm and 11 pm EST (in the US). They've been showing a mix of new episodes and reruns. I'm not sure how many new episodes are left in this season, though. So, it may not be long before the end of the season. Here's the link to ION's website, if you'd like to see if you get ION in your area: http://www.iontelevision.com/ .
The two episodes that ION is showing this week are reruns, but I love the show, so I'll just watch them, again.
Thanks! I checked out the website. They're airing reruns for now. For a moment there I was wondering how the heck I missed out on new episodes. The last episode looked and felt like a season finale. According to wikipedia, episode 18 was indeed the season finale, so yeah season 4 is over :-(
Since I can't edit my post, I'll add this bit of info here... There will be a new Flashpoint episode next week at 10 pm, so there are a few new eps left. *happy dance*
You're welcome! I'm glad that I could be of some help.
Happily, ION will be showing season five, later on, so, we'll have more new episodes to look forward to.
Switched at Birth, Parenthood
Nothing. Nada. Zilch.
