What to Watch Tonight: Person of Interest, S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Winter Finale of Ravenswood

What to watch on Tuesday, February 4...

8pm, NBC
Winter Gold: NBC’s First Look at the Sochi Olympics Broadcast
With the help of host Apollo Ohno, the Peacock previews its coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics.

8pm, CBS
The team may have a bead on Parsa after a port authority officer is slain in “Monsters and Men.” As they follow the latest clues, Bishop divulges her history with their villainous quarry.

8pm, ABC
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
“T.R.A.C.K.S.”—which is apparently not S.H.I.E.L.D.’s mass-transit-centric sister agency—sends the team chasing after the Clairvoyant. Along the way, they’re ensnared by a spooky locomotive that may or may not be the Phantom Train from Final Fantasy VI.

8pm, The CW
The Originals
Klaus’s latest maneuver spells danger for everybody, because it’s Tuesday. Elsewhere in “Crescent City,” Marcel and Rebekah encounter an unwelcome former acquaintance, as does Father Kiernan; Cami and Elijah each face agonizing choices; and Hayley throws a party for the werewolves that will surely go exactly like this.

8pm, ABC Family
Pretty Little Liars
Spencer’s insomnia and medication habit begin to pop a few of her screws loose in “Hot for Teacher,” prompting Hanna to intervene. Meanwhile, Emily hopes Shana can help her patch things up with Alison, and Aria strains under the weight of her mountains of falsehoods.

“My Haunted Heart” brings Rosewoodite Hanna to town, where she gets the skinny from Caleb on what’s been happening here in Spinoffville. Elsewhere, Dillon takes desperate measures, the Five search for a missing Remy, and Luke and Olivia discover the truth about their father.

9pm, The CW
In “The Purge,” Sam and Dean look into a day spa whose weight-loss techniques work like a charm. And by “work like a charm,” I of course mean, “kill people by draining them into desiccated husks.” Still, it probably beats that Paleo diet.

9pm, Fox
New Girl
After a tense encounter between Nick and Caroline, Jess prods him to befriend his former flame in “Exes.” By way of encouragement, she introduces Nick to her old beau (Adam Brody). In other romantic hijinx, Coach and Schmidt butt heads when each brings a potential paramour back to Schmidt’s loft.

9pm, ABC
The Goldbergs
In “Muscles Mirsky,” Beverly and Erica make a pact to trust one another that goes out the window by, like, the second ad break. Meanwhile, Adam and Emmy’s relationship is on much sturdier ground—at least until Barry drops some dubious older-brother wisdom on him.

NEW TIME, 9:30pm, Fox
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
The gang decamps to Chez Holt in “The Party,” where the captain’s birthday celebration introduces them (and us) to his husband Kevin (Mark Evan Jackson, most likely sans rocket steed). Marilu Henner and Patton Oswalt’s Fire Marshall Boone also put in appearances this week, though it’s unclear if either has RSVP’d to the shindig in question.

9:30pm, ABC
Trophy Wife
“Foxed Lunch” finds Kate and Jackie teaming up on a business enterprise and clashing over strategy pretty much immediately. Conflict is also the order of the day at Warren and Bert’s karate lessons, where Pete discovers the instructor (Rob Corddry) is a mite hotheaded.

SEASON 19 PREMIERE, 10pm, Food Network
A quartet of home cooks compete in “Ambitious Amateurs,” with chicken tenderloin and hanger steak on the menu in the appetizer and entree rounds, respectively.

10pm, TBS
Cougar Town
Rocked by scandalous press, Mayor Andy rebounds by bringing a 5-K to town in “Hard on Me.” Jules sees an opportunity for Chick to revisit his coaching days by whipping the Cul-de-Sac Crew into racing shape, a plan that couldn’t possibly go wrong in any way.

10pm, FX
The Detroit mob is out for revenge in “Shot All to Hell,” threatening to bring Raylan’s role in Nicky Augustine’s murder to light. Boyd’s fortunes aren't faring much better in the super-sized, 71-minute episode, as his enterprise absorbs a devastating blow.

10pm, BET
Being Mary Jane
Mary Jane makes a possible love connection online, Kara’s changes at SNC overwhelm Mark, and Helen’s missing bracelet prompts raw confessions in “Mixed Messages.” (Note: This episode was originally schedule to air last week, but was postponed.)

10pm, CBS
Person of Interest
In “Provenance,” Reese and Finch reunite by running in slow-motion towards one another in Central Park while cello music swells tackling the Machine’s latest number, an elite thief with a taste for antiquities. But will they wind up thwarting the rogue’s latest heist—or abetting it?

10:30pm, Comedy Central
Kroll Show
The gang from Wheels Ontario heads south of the border in “Sponsored by Stamps,” which also finds Nash Rickey hoping to recreate his ‘80s rock glory and Ref Jeff making a friend at long last.
