What to watch on Tuesday, July 8...
100th Episode, 8pm, ABC Family
Pretty Little Liars
Alison returns to Rosewood High ready to make amends, but Mona and her minions aren’t going to make it easy on her. But hers isn’t the only return in “Miss Me x 100,” as Caleb and an old nemesis make their Rosewood homecomings.
A study of St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London landmark designed by Christopher Wren in the 17th century. Known for its unique three-part dome, the cathedral is so sturdily constructed that it survived a German bomb during the London Blitz of 1940 and an alien death ray during the Independence Day invasion of 1996.
Rizzoli & Isles
When a man is found murdered in his fallout shelter in “Doomsday,” the team investigates and resists the urge to add said shelter to the internet’s popular “You had one job!” meme. But Jane’s police work is hampered by the revelation that Korsak is eyeing retirement.
In “Goodwill Stunting,” Evan contacts a woman who's afflicted with an unusual illness, hoping that Hank can diagnose her. (Let’s just save everyone some time and rule out lupus right now.) Meanwhile, Paige and Russell weigh the sizable pros and cons of their new client, and Evan and Jeremiah decide to take the fight to Symphony.
SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm, MTV
A teenage girl grapples with the discovery that the woman who raised her is not her mother, but a kidnapper who had abducted her as a child. The two-hour premiere, “Pilot” and “The Birds,” sees Carter returning to her biological family and adapting to a brand-new home life and social sphere.
New evidence is uncovered regarding the attempt on Jamal’s life, sparking tension between him and Barry in “My Brother’s Keeper.” If this isn’t the episode that finally inspires an “Arrested Abbudin” Tumblr, you will have let me down, internet.
In “Possession,” Pierce examines a confessed murderer who claims to be in the thrall of a demonic force. To determine the true source of her condition, he’ll have to bring in a renowned specialist in these matters.
“Unseen Power of the Picket Fence” finds Annie and McQuaid teaming up to quit Venezuela while Joan works with Arthur and Caitlyn Cook to launch an extraction. If this doesn’t all add up to a mass chase sequence scored to “Yakety Sax,” then I clearly don’t know a thing about TV drama.
The Night Shift
TC and Topher tend to a plane crash survivor while keeping a shady cop at bay in “Blood Brothers.” Elsewhere, Paul falls for an exotic dancer with a mysterious malady, Krista aids a teenager who's suffering from an eating disorder, and TC’s demons continue to haunt him.
10pm, Comedy Central
“New York City” finds the U.S. receiving a statuesque gift, though not without some arm twisting, while muckraker Nellie Bly gets the scoop on corruption in a mental institution and Sybil Ludington warns the Revolutionaries of a Redcoat attack.
10:30pm, Comedy Central
Nathan for You
Nathan’s cunning plan to boost a Hollywood souvenir shop produces memorable results. It’s also possible that he bends a law or two over the course of the episode.
