What to Watch Tonight: Suits, The Bridge's Season 2 Premiere, and Halle Berry's Extant Debut

What to watch on Wednesday, July 9...

8pm, The CW
iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party
One of these days I’m going to look up exactly what the hell “iHeartRadio” is and why it periodically sponsors filler programming on The CW. Ah, who am I kidding, no I’m not. Anyway, this time around it’s Nick Cannon hosting a smorgasbord of performances and network cross-promotions featuring Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, and the stars of this fall’s Jane the Virgin.

8pm, ABC Family
Young & Hungry
In an attempt to win the favor of a powerful magazine editor (Ashley Tisdale), Josh fixes her up on a date with an unwitting Gabi in “Young and Lesbian.” Although the lady spends the entire evening plotting to bust her little brothers about something or another, which kinda kills the mood anyway.

8:30pm, ABC Family
Mystery Girls
The ladies must spend the night in a supposedly ghost-infested home in “Haunted House Party,” possibly with the help of their good friends Phyllis Diller, Don Knotts, and the Harlem Globetrotters.

SERIES PREMIERE, 9pm, CBS
Extant
Halle Berry stars as Molly Woods, an astronaut reunited with her family after 13 months on a solo space mission. But after discovering that she’s inexplicably pregnant in “Re-Entry,” she wonders if she brought more back from the stars than a souvenir meteorite with googly eyes.

9pm, USA
Suits
Mike revs up a hostile takeover of Gillis Industries in “Leveraged,” with Harvey and Louis spearheading the defense. Elsewhere, Jessica and Malone square off against Sean Cahill, who threatens to bring the SEC’s hammer down on the firm.

SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 10pm, FX
The Bridge
Marco suspects he’s in danger in “Yankee,” while Sonya meets someone with ties to her past. Meanwhile, Frye and Adriana probe the history of the “money house,” and a mysterious figure enters El Paso via the titular border-spanning roadway.

10pm, ABC
Motive
In “Pitfall,” the investigation of a skydiving mishap pulls Flynn and Vega away from Vega’s father’s wedding before they even get to do the chicken dance. Along the way, Flynn shares sensitive information about Sgt. Cross in hopes of regaining her partner’s trust.

10pm, NBC
Taxi Brooklyn
Leo and Cat are on the case when a Holocaust survivor and friend of Leo’s is savagely murdered in “Cherchez Les Femmes.” Cat also becomes Leo’s sponsor to help him through his immigration pickle, because it would really throw sand in the show’s gears if half of its lead duo got deported.

10pm, FXX
Wilfred
Will “Answers” unfurl the truth about Wilfred as Ryan makes him the subject of a scientific study? Or will it only raise more questions, thus rendering the episode title wholly ironic?

10pm, A&E
Duck Dynasty
The fellas refresh Duck Commander’s marketing in “Brand of Brothers,” and if that doesn’t involve someone wearing a giant duck mascot costume I think we’ll all be severely disappointed. Meanwhile, Phil assists Bella on a science project.

10pm, TV Land
Hot in Cleveland
In “Playmates,” the play’s the thing to reveal the conscience of Elka, who has dramatized the ladies’ lives for the stage with a few unexpected twists.

10pm, USA
Graceland
Briggs and Charlie try to make up for their sins in “Magic Number,” and all of their “I’m sorry” gift baskets create a perfect product placement opportunity for Edible Arrangements. Elsewhere, Jake draws on his secrets to sell his cover at a garage and Tuturro does some soul-searching after a raucous night with Carlito.

LATE-NITE:
– Kelly Ripa, Joe Manganiello, and Sylvan Esso on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, 11:35pm, NBC
– U.S. Men's National Soccer Team captain Clint Dempsey and Sleeper Agent on Late Show with David Letterman, 11:35pm, CBS
– Andy Serkis and Neon Trees on Late Night with Seth Meyers, 12:35pm, NBC
– Michael Sheen on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, 12:37am, CBS
