What to Watch Tonight: Teen Wolf, The Bachelorette, and Bunheads

What to watch on Monday, June 25...

Quick question: Does your AAA coverage extend to hovercrafts? Just asking! It was THAT kind of weekend, is what I'm saying. Okay, while I'm dealing with this hovercraft situation, get inside and warm up the TV. We're gonna watch THESE things tonight:

8pm, ABC
The Bachelorette
Tonight Emily and her posse of bro himbos traverses the globe only to wind up in Prague, an ancient city made of candy and treats. Meanwhile one of the fellas attempts to sneak out of the hotel in order to get some alone time with Emily and at least two fellas will be sent home. You're probably like, "Shut up, which onesssss????!!!" Relax. You'll see.

8pm, ABC Family
The Secret Life of the American Teenager
In "I Do and I Don't," the various American teenagers deal with new and different aspects of their secret lives. For instance, Amy will give guidance to a new student. Also Ricky may or may not get to work for Leo full-time. Aren't secrets exciting?

SPORTS SPECIAL, 8pm, NBC
U.S. Olympic Trials: Swimming
The Olympics are still a ways off, but that doesn't mean we can't start getting excited about them! Take this special, in which the men and women of the U.S. Olympic Swim team will be selected. Pretty decent appetizer, am I right?

9pm, ABC Family
Bunheads
In "Inherit the Wind," Fanny may or may not be inheriting something surprising. (Aside from the wind.) Meanwhile Michelle has a run-in with the law and ends up making a scene, plus the girls compete in an ugly-feet contest. (Please prevent your creepy uncle from watching this show.)

10pm, MTV
Teen Wolf
We'll supposedly learn the identity of the reptilian Kanima tonight, but before then Derek will be so certain that it's Lydia that he'll try to KILL her! Leave Lydia alone, you wolf-faced hunk!

Eureka (Duh!), and Teen Wolf, which the directing is really good IMO - really builds up the horror scenes.

I guessed wrong on the Kenema, and now we get to guess a new Kenema next week? I'm early-guessing the counselor (used to play Maya on Pretty Little Liars- Emalee's dead girlfriend).

Why do every show gets an after show all of a sudden. First Walking Dead, then Falling Skies, now Teen Wolf. Teen Wolf!! Really? FML.

Because the Teen Wolf cast are awesome. I feel like I COULD complain, but that cast isa gift to this world. *Appreciates funny awesome cast* Bless them.

Well, considering it's one of the best summer shows on, it certainly deserves it if anything else does.

Nothing about it being good or not. I love all three shows. I like Fringe too but it don't need an after show.

Ah, ok. I thought you were knocking the show itself. My apologies. I don't really watch after shows, but I'll give the TW one a look-see, just to see if there are any interesting insights.

Due to all the positive comments for Teen Wolf that I see on this site, I caught up on the show in the past week. I have been pleasantly surprised by it.

Teen Wolf!

I can't believe we're almost halfway through the season. This show moves at such a magnificently quick pace!
Reply
Flag
Wait, I thought Teen Wolf got 24 episodes for this season? I swear I read it in an article somewhere...
Reply
Flag
They're considering making the next season 24 episodes. Which I'm not so sure about. One of the things I love about TW is its incredibly fast pace, and I'd rather have 12 episodes of tightly written awesomeness than the inevitable muddlement that would assuredly accompany 24.

Flag
I so agree with you and I sincerely hope that they get another season otherwise I wouldn't know what to do without my weekly fix of Stiles! :)

I have the same qualms. Though my impulse is to say, "Yes! More, more more!" I think I'd rather they just manage to end up with more seasons. As you mention, something that's worked so well for the show so far is its breakneck pace and its ability to avoid pointless filler episodes. While I'll be sad when the season ends and the nine month wasteland of no new episodes comes around, it's made up for by the exceptionally high quality that comes during its actual run.

You watch Teen Wolf too?!? I swear we are the same person! I'm actually on episode 9 of season 1 still, so still catching up!

I still need to check out Teen Wolf. I'm catching up on Supernatural atm. I think I'll save Teen Wolf for next Summer. :) I have too many shows I want to catch up on... :S
Reply
Flag
I highly recommend you give it a chance.
Reply

Supernatural's awesome!!! That's all I wanted to say... (Awkward silence)

TheBam71: I've watched Superntural from the beginning and I gotta say that from Seasons 1-5, they're high quality but Season 6 & 7 are merely okay seasons.
Flag
Did you watch Supernatural from the beginning or just the 5 or so episodes of season 7? So far I'm on Season 1 and Episode 17 and enjoying it so far (show has been pretty great from the start...as well as the acting)
Flag
Is Supernatural worth catching up on? 5 or so episodes into season 7 and it just lost me.

MAD, Eureka, Lost Girl, America's Got Talent and Ru Paul's Drag U.
