What to Watch Tonight: The Americans and the Season Finales of Suburgatory and Southland

What to watch on Wednesday, April 17...

SEASON 2 FINALE, 8pm & 8:30pm, ABC
“Apocalypse Meow” finds Tessa and Dalia’s feud intensifying as George and Dallas advance plans to move their families in together. Then in “Stray Dogs,” Sheila achieves Peak Buzzkill with her campaign to put the “chaste” in Chatswin, complete with a Chastity Ball at the high school, and Dallas’s ex Steven pays George a visit.

8pm, CBS
Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites
In “Zipping Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” one castaway’s future in the game is jeopardized after having an accident. Though in fairness, that castaway had an awful lot to drink before bed and then had a really scary dream.

9pm, Reelz
Bomb Girls
New arrivals at the factory spark a few snafus, and one newcomer in particular has Betty’s Spidey-sense tingling in “The Harder We Fight.” In other developments, Vera and Carol’s rivalry ramps up, and Gladys accompanies Gene on an adventure.

9:30, ABC
How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life)
You can’t blame a rookie show for trying to earn some network brownie points through classic Walt Disney Company Corporate Synergy™. How could the writers have known that “How to Live With the Academy Awards Party” wouldn’t get on the schedule until six weeks after ABC’s Oscars telecast, thus rendering Polly’s attempts to impress a former classmate at her family’s shindig but a faded relic of those halcyon days of late February?

10pm, A&E
Duck Dynasty
Jase suspects Willie is in the throes of a mid-life crisis when he buys a new chopper and dyes his beard. A “Battle of the Brothers” ensues, as the Robertson frères compete to see who is the sharpest, the fittest, and the fleetest in piloting a hot air balloon ‘cross the length of the globe. Meanwhile, Miss Kay talks Phil into enlisting the services of a feline assassin to eliminate a mouse infestation.

10pm, USA
Upon solving a case involving an enigmatic Swedish woman, Shawn reconsiders how the investigation might have gone if he had made a different decision at the outset. In at least one of the realities posited by “Right Turn or Left for Dead,” Lassiter has a beagle, in case you needed another reason to tune in.

10pm, FX
The Americans
Spurred by events in Moscow, Elizabeth embarks on a risky mission in “Covert War” that requires the assistance of one (1) currently estranged KGB-trained husband. As any marriage counselor will tell you, there’s nothing like incurring the wrath of both your spy agency handler and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to put that “spark” back into your romance!

John grapples with the aftermath of his abduction, while Lydia pursues the cop-nappers in question as “Reckoning” concludes the fifth season (and, possibly, the series). Elsewhere, Lydia grows closer to an old confidante, and Sammy is this close to locating the true perpetrators of his home invasion, whom he plans to greet with a hefty carpet cleaning bill.
