What to watch on Monday, July 2...
Oh hey, it's July. Speaking of July, the 4th is just around the corner and will land awkwardly in the middle of the week, so heads up that things are about to get weird. And by weird, I mean "loaded with grilled meats and barbecue-flavored corn." Now here's your TV lineup for the night:
This week is Hometown Dates, which means that tonight we'll see the guys in action on their home turf. Whose family do you think will be the weirdest? Here are my guesses: Chris's will be the most normal, Sean's will be the most religious, Jef's will be the most free-spirited, and Arie's will be suspiciously awesome.
Tim Tebow's Wild Rise
Remember when this guy was being labeled as a sign of the second coming? (The theories were out there.) Well, E! decided it would be a good idea to retrace our steps from a society who worships athletes to a society who WORSHIPS athletes. If nothing else, it'll be a nostalgic recap of last year's football season.
In tonight's episode "Mirror, Mirror," an experiment goes awry and ends up cutting off Eureka from the rest of the universe. Oh, and it also threatens to destroy all human life in the town. Holy FIX THAT PROBLEM, Batman!
Everybody's got confessions, it's just that mobsters have way cooler confessions than the rest of us (or so I'd like to believe). Tonight's episode features Frank Cullotta, who worked with the mafia in Las Vegas until he was brought down by the FBI. With any luck, we'll get at least one "Big Ang" shout-out.
SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm, TLC
You've heard of that show Four Weddings, where a quartet of brides-to-be attend each other's weddings to rate them on a scale of awesome to awful. Four Houses is the same basic concept: Four homeowners visit each other's decked-out abodes to vote on whose is the coolest (and they appear to be pretty cool). The pilot takes place in New Jersey (so maybe another "Big Ang" shout out?) and the winner gets a whopping $10,000 to spend on garden gnomes and rhinestone-encrusted bidets.
