What to Watch Tonight: The Vampire Diaries, The Secret Circle, and Person of Interest

What to watch on Thursday, February 9...

Thursday is basically Friday's slightly less attractive little brother who is actually a total prodigy and pretty fun to have around. Come on in, Thursday! Grab a pop and chill on the beanbag chair for a while.

8pm, CW
The Vampire Diaries
The Season of the Originals rolls onward as Klaus and his family throw a formal ball for the town's resident tuxedo and ballgown owners. But it won't be all waltzes and foxtrots for Elena when she uncovers a dastardly plan that threatens the lives of the remaining three dozen living citizens of Mystic Falls!

9pm, CW
The Secret Circle
Tonight's the buzzed-about Valentine's Day episode in which the girls have a slumber party, Melissa gets high, a Ouija board is used improperly, and Diana eats pizza. Meanwhile an increasingly dark Cassie finds herself haunted by the spirits of vengeful witches.

9pm, CBS
Person of Interest
Reese will find himself in an awkward situation when he attempts to protect a teen hell-bent on avenging his brother's murder. Elsewhere the mainframe is like, "Beep boop beep." Right? I don't know, I'm not caught up.

8pm, NBC
30 Rock
Here's a full hour of 30 Rock for those of you who recently threw pennies into wells wishing for it. Tonight Liz and Criss attempt to overcome their urge to buy furniture and try to celebrate Valentine's Day properly. Meanwhile Jack spends some quality time with his mother-in-law and Jenna readies for her performance on America's Kidz Got Singing.

9pm, ABC
Grey's Anatomy
In a Valentine's Day babysitting raffle, Lexie and Mark draw the short straw and must look after every other couple's respective kids. Meanwhile the hospital fills up with any number of love-related injuries, including a girl who has an allergic reaction to her Valentine's chocolates and a man who gets hit by a car while running after his girlfriend. (I thought every episode of this show was Valentine's Day themed? Feelin' like a real boob here.)

10pm, FX
Archer's birthday doesn't quite go according to plan, despite the surprise gift of a high-tech spy car. We've all been there right?
