What to watch on Thursday, February 16...

Dry your workaday-related tears: It's Thursday all of the sudden! Time to start celebrating by using your "remote controllin' hand" to tune in for these gems:
8pm, CW
The Vampire Diaries
In "All My Children" Elena will find out in record time exactly what (or who) Damon did after the ball. Plus Bonnie and Abby will return to deal with some unfinished business with the spirits of nature. Meanwhile Elijah has had it UP TO HERE with Elena, and ends up presenting an ultimatum to Damon and Stefan that threatens Elena's life. Fair enough, honestly.
9pm, CW
The Secret Circle
Tonight sees the long-awaited arrival of Cassie's supposedly evil father John Blackwell, who comes in search of a now-pulverized medallion. Whoops! Meanwhile Cassie gets kidnapped by witch hunters and Melissa starts spending more time with Callum, to Faye and Diana's disapproval. But will Diana be too preoccupied with pizza to help out? Tune in! #Pizzana
9pm, CBS
Person of Interest
Tonight's person of interest dwells in the midst of a smuggling ring, so Reese must infiltrate said ring in order to do his dang job. That sounds annoying. Do you get good medical benefits, Reese?
9:30pm, NBC
Up All Night
Reagan and Chris decide to take Amy on her first flight, but find that air travel is especially awful with a baby. Meanwhile Ava officiates the wedding of a former bandmate (Alanis Morissette!) and Kevin ends up getting an earful about Ava's views on marriage.
10pm, CBS
The Mentalist
Tonight Jane has mixed feelings when a murderer she once helped nab gets furloughed in order to help the team solve a related homicide. Meanwhile Rigsby does his best to prepare for impending fatherhood. Firearms go on a high shelf, that's all I got.
ORIGINAL SPECIAL, 9pm, OWN
Remembering Whitney: The Oprah Interview
As pop blogger extraordinaire Rich Juzwiak recently pointed out, Whitney Houston's 2009 interview with Oprah Winfrey is the closest we'll ever get to an autobiography; it's the most candid she ever was about her past mistakes and her then-present struggles. So in memory of our modern day Judy Garland, why not tune in for this full rebroadcast of the interview which originally aired over the course of two episodes of The Oprah Winfrey Show back in the fall of 2009.
