What to Watch Tonight: The X Factor Results Show, The League's Season Finale, and Funny or Die's Billy on the Street

What to watch on Thursday, December 22...

Although you'll most likely be spending the evening, I don't know, baking candy canes or carving fruitcakes out of larger fruitcakes, keep in mind that you can have the TV on while you work and any number of things can be blaring in the background. For example:

SEASON FINALE (PT. 2), 8pm, Fox
The X Factor
Tonight, why not kick back, relax, and crack open an ice-cold Pepsi (or any other Pepsi-owned beverage product) and find out which of the above three performers truly has that special something Simon Cowell calls an "X factor." And when it's over, throw away that beverage, crack open a nice and refreshing Coca-Cola and start thinking about how much better American Idol will be when it returns in a few weeks.

10pm, NBC
Prime Suspect
Tonight Jane and her hat investigate a murder in Chinatown which may or may not be the result of a Mah Jongg game gone bad. Elsewhere, Reg reveals one of Jane's secrets to Matt (the hat smells weird!).

SEASON 3 FINALE, 10pm, FX
The League
Season 3 concludes tonight with back-to-back episodes. First Kevin and Jenny get super serious in their playoffs betting, then during the Bowl games the League attempts to find someone new to manage a missing participant's team.

SERIES PREMIERE, 11pm, Fuse
Funny or Die's Billy on the Street
Don't miss this truly funny impromptu game show during which manic comedian Billy Eichner approaches complete strangers on the streets of Manhattan offering money for correct answers to trivia questions. The actual game show element is beside the point; the contestants' reactions are just as hilarious as Eichner's improv skills.

10pm, MTV
Beavis and Butt-head
In tonight's pair of segments, the boys first must face Principal McVicker after cheating on a major test. Later they'll find themselves on the witness stand, testifying against a criminal. Expect a powerful monologue or two.

The X Factor finale (which I'm tempted to not bother with until last 10 minutes anyway..)

I would watch Donald Glover, but he's not doing an interview.. he's just there as Childish Gambino for musical guest

It's ok Price, on nights like tonight you can put in the headline "there is not s#!t on TV" and recommend us a book or something :)

I'll maybe catch Thomas Haden Church on Conan, but that's about all.

Just the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I'll probably watch a clip of Donald Glover's appearance on Letterman tomorrow.

The League.

And even though I never watch Letterman (I'm more of a Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Craig Ferguson kind of guy), I've got to tune in to see Donald Glover. Maybe he'll shed some light on when, or (god forbid) if, Community will come back.
