What to Watch Tonight: Touch's Season Finale, Rookie Blue, and the Scripps National Spelling Bee

What to watch on Thursday, May 31...

Ballet dancers! Nerdy children! Cops! Snooki! Pick your poison from tonight's very varied televised offerings:

SERIES PREMIERE, 8pm, CW
Breaking Pointe
This new reality show follows several young dancers at the Salt Lake City Ballet Company. A real-life Black Swan it is not, but hey, it's better than Dogs in the City.

SPECIAL EVENT, 8pm, ESPN
The 2012 Scripps National Spelling Bee
Adorably geeky tweens spell really hard words and make you feel dumb—what's not to like? Plus: Modern Family's Nolan Gould (Luke Dunphy) and The Middle's Atticus Shaffer (Brick Heck) compete in a special Celebrity Bee.

SEASON 1 FINALE, 8pm, Fox
Touch
Okay, this is for real the last finale of the 2011-2012 TV season. In tonight's pair of back-to-back episodes, Martin and Abigail team up to get to the bottom of Aster Corp's ongoing interest in Jake. Plus connections! Lots of connections.

10pm, ABC
Rookie Blue
Can you still be a rookie if you're three seasons in? Anyway, in "Class Dismissed," Andy and Swarek set out to find a police car stolen by high-school students as an end-of-the-year prank, but stumble onto the trail of an armed teenager who robbed and assaulted a local criminal.

SERIES PREMIERE, 11pm, MTV
Snooki & JWoww
This new Jersey Shore spin-off chronicles what happens when one of the original gang's tallest and most rational members moves in with an engaged, pregnant Snooki. Something will certainly ensue.

12am, Cartoon Network
Eagleheart
Tonight Eagleheart sets out to show you what it's really like to wear the badge of a U.S. Marshal with an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at Chris Monsanto's noble profession. Conan O'Brien guest-stars.

Staff
Oh goodness! Price is okay and will be back soon! He's just taking some vacation time; sometimes we let him out of underground bunker we keep him locked in so he can remember what sunlight is and eat something other than the Starbursts we toss in at mealtimes.

Please don't feed him any yellow Starbursts. ;)

Tonight I'm going to be watching Touch's season finale. And that's the last show I'm going to actually be watching on TV until my Summer shows (Futurama, Breaking Bad, and Warehouse 13) start. Good thing I have a lot of shows to watch on DVD and Netflix or else I'd go crazy waiting for all the shows to come back in the Fall.
