What to Watch Tonight: Wilfred, Time Machine Chefs, and Saving Hope

What to watch on Thursday, August 16...

You know the expression, "It's 5 o'clock somewhere"? Wouldn't it be great if that expression was applicable for days of the week? I'd watch Louie every day, and when my friends started questioning my behavior I'd just be all, "It's Thursday somewhere!" Alas, it's only Thursday today, so try to make due with the following TV shows while they last:

9pm, USA
Burn Notice
In "Official Business" Sam and Jesse are on the hunt for a very clever sniper and decide to question a number of folks at a mercenary training camp about his whereabouts. Why does that not sound like such a great idea? Elsewhere, Fiona is instructed to break into a safe in order to help a CIA agent who's in too deep with a black-market business dealer. That sounds like very unofficial "official" business to me.

9pm, NBC
Saving Hope
Remember Charlie? He's still hangin' on! In "Bea, Again," he's taken off his ventilator—which is either a sign of hope or of surrender. Let's for the former and expect the latter. Good news for the "former" front: as Alex patiently keeps watch of a still-on-the-brink Charlie, she tends to a patient who may have the answer to understanding Charlie's affliction. Meanwhile Maggie and Gavin awkwardly deal with the aftermath of their kiss and Joel has to opt out of the operating room thanks to a broken hand.

SERIES PREMIERE, 9pm, ABC
Time Machine Chefs
Because the world needs more cooking competitions! ABC's latest creation actually comes with an interesting twist, believe it or not: instead of watching world-renowned chefs compete to produce the best-tasting dishes, world-renowned chefs will compete to produce the best-tasting dishes from the past—which means they also have to use the TOOLS from the past, as well. Will tonight's chefs be instructed to prepare a medieval feast? Or a South American meal circa 1400 A.D? I guess we'll have to watch to find out!

10pm, FX
Wilfred
In "Service," Wilfred and Ryan go on a spontaneous road trip, which, in true Wilfred fashion, leads to potentially disastrous consequences for not just Ryan and his pseudo-imaginary pet, but for Ryan's entire family, as well. I'm guessing it has something to do with Kristen's pregnancy. Man, you'd think the whole thing would make Ryan wonder if hopping a plane and stuffing Wilfred under the seat in front of him would have been a better alternative.

10:30pm, MTV
Awkward
Tonight's episode, "Time After Time," is all about timing. Go figure, right? And considering that timing is one of the critical elements to make-or-break a relationship, it's also no surprise that said timing will affect whatever it is Jenna and Jake are attempting to hold onto these days. Hold onto your hearts, people, the results may be devastating.

Forgetting "Children's Hospital" and "NTSF:SD:SUV" and also ignoring the fact that this Craig Ferguson episode is repeat, and has been repeats this entire week, is starting to reflect badly on a tv site.
