Which TV Catchphrases and Quotes Do You Regularly Use in Everyday Life?

On any given day, it's fairly likely that you'll hear me mutter the word "Frak!" when I screw something up or walk into a wall. I've been known to throw out "What'chu talkin' 'bout, Willis?" if someone says something that confuses me. And I'm basically an honorary member of the Dillon Panthers now, based simply on how often I manage to work "Clear eyes, full hearts!" into everyday conversation.

Catchphrases and particularly repeatable quotes are one of the easiest ways for TV to make its way into our everyday lives and the pop culture lexicon, and we're all guilty of using them at one point or another. Maybe Battlestar Galactica's favorite curse word didn't start out as anything special, but once you've heard it in action, don't be surprised if it becomes a welcome addition to your vocabulary. Below, I've listed six lines that I regularly use in my own life. Share YOUR favorite cribbed-from-TV quotes and phrases in the comments!

"Oy with the poodles already!"

Leave it to Gilmore Girls to create a catchphrase by having a character discuss creating a catchphrase. And then never use that catchphrase again.

"Cool. Cool, cool, cool."

There's something special about Abed's catchphrase on Community that makes everything seem so much, well, cooler.

"You got it, dude!"

Michelle Tanner's signature line on Full House is right up there with Uncle Joey's "Cut it out," but requires much less hand-and-mouth coordination.

"Suit up!"

How I Met Your Mother's Barney Stinson gifted the world with many things, including the Hot/Crazy Scale, the Playbook, and the Bro Code. He also singlehandedly brought back high-fives and created the equally great "It's gonna be legend—wait for it—dary!" catchphrase, but I prefer the simpler (and shorter) request of "Suit up!"

"How very dare you!"

If you don't already use this one, I think you'll find that Derek's catchphrase from The Catherine Tate Show is highly applicable to everyday life.

"I say good day!"

Just don't let Fez hear you stealing his go-to line.

'Eww' - Summer, The OC.

I do use a lot of the others that have been listed here, like 'oy with the poodles already!', 'Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose!', and 'Frak', but I know Frak from Veronica Mars.
I also call people 'Dude' a lot, not sure if that's due to watching full house all the time as a kid, but I can't seem to stop saying it!

I say "I feel your taters," (from Gilmore Girls) instead of 'I feel you', or whatever the saying is, a lot. And, those condescending 'huh's Jess would do, along with many coffee related quotes when I'm jonesing for my fix (also both GG).

Basically, most of my quotes are Gilmore Girls related - it's like a sickness. Plus, most quotes are them quoting something -- quoteception!

That, or HIMYM various made up high-fives, 'awesome', 'challenge accepted', a lot of Barney. . . .and SATC.

"Oookay" - used by Bull Shannon on Night Court (80s sitcom)
"Wibbly-wobbly" - from Doctor Who
"He's dead, Jim!" and "Live long and prosper" - from Star Trek: TOS
"Dickweed" - from MST3k (it was probably used elsewhere, too, but I first heard it on the show)
Also from Mystery Science Theater 3000:
"It's BOLD!"
"Well, you're full of skit."
"I know!"
"Deep Hurting" (which I adapted into "Deep Healing")
"Why don't they look?"
"And the crowd goes wild!" (then you cheer as dully as possible)

I'm sure there are some that I'm forgetting. For some reason, when I started making this list, I forgot most of my borrowed catchphrases.

I know "look what you did" was Steve Urkle's catchphrase in the later seasons of the show, but it never really caught on. Every time someone mentions Urkle, the first phrase we associate is "Did I do Thaaaaaat?"

I use "Cool cool cool" quite a bit.

This is a bit obscure and no one notices when I use it but, "Huh what?" from FLCL.

"D'oh!" from the Simpsons, of course.

Well, I've seen every episode of The Gilmore Girls and Bunheads, as well as Suits and BSG, so I use a lot of them, and it's fun. But the hottest one on everyone's lips for the past several years is, "What part of BLANK don't you understand," and we all use it a lot...

"Make it so!" (Star Trek - The Next Generation)
"D'oh!" (Simpsons)
"Coolness, Park." and "Not a problem." (Parker Lewis Can't Lose - yeah, I grew up with that)
"Wibbly, wobbly, timey, wimey... stuff" (Doctor Who, Ok, not really a catchphrase as it only came once in full length but it got stuck nonetheless for whenever I don't know how to explain something)
"Frak!" (Battlestar Galactica)

I feel I have to inform you that "What's your damage" is originally from a movie called "Heathers", with Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. Not just because I'm a know it all, but also because it's a really good movie and you should absolutely see it!

Love Faith's "Five by Five" pilot speak also used in Aliens etc. Definitely watch Heathers as kalistri recommends, endlessly quotable ie.

J.D.: Chaos is what killed the dinosaurs, darling
Heather Chandler: Well, fuck me gently with a chainsaw. Do I look like Mother Teresa?
Veronica Sawyer: Dear Diary, my teen-angst bullshit now has a body count
