Who the Heck is This Louis C.K. Guy?

It's a shame that more people don't know who Louis C.K. is, yet Dane Cook tours the country to packed houses and does movies with blonde bimbos. Comedy isn't always fair, and yucksters must sometimes weather a long and painful ride before they hit it big.

Tonight may finally be Louis C.K.'s night. Don't get me wrong, he's had some success in the form of the short-lived HBO show called Lucky Louie and as a writing partner for Chris Rock and a staff writer for David Letterman and Conan O'Brien. But it's his standup routine that's considered by those in-the-know to be one of the the best in the business. And that very same standup routine finally gets an appropriate outlet in FX's new show Louie, over which Mr. C.K. has almost complete control.

And that's necessary with Louis' brand of humor. He's an insightful, intelligent man who loves to talk sh*t about everything from his kids to handjobs, yet he throws some darkly perverse perspective in there that separates him from the other hacks that take the stage. Here's a look at some of his highlights (NSFW language):

Check out his new show tonight on FX. It's a bit weird and dark, but there are some great moments and it's an upgrade over his HBO venture.

Louie debuts tonight on FX at 11pm.
