Ray Romano and Kevin James are bringing a new and unusual one-hour special to HBO on Saturday, June 18. The show, entitled Ray Romano and Kevin James: Making the Cut, is a documentary of their respective attempts to reach the final round of this year's Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament.
Romano and James are longtime participants in the annual event, which partners professional golf players with celebrities for a weekend of competition in Northern California. The pair had the idea to film their golfing endeavors for personal reasons, but they soon realized the general public would be grateful for a behind-the-scenes look at the tournament.
"Hopefully, it's going to be funny," says Romano. There's certainly much comic potential in the idea of the two sitcom stars taking to the green against the likes of Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh. The unpredictable February weather, the interference of local flora and fauna, and a gallery of avid golf fans bring a new level of tension to the comedians' experience. However, these are quite possibly the key ingredients to a successful and hilarious documentary.

I went to the screening of this...and it was so funny. Especially when they both came out to meet everybody after the screening to ask and answer questions about it.<br />
