Williamson plots for NBC's Kidnapped

Mykelti Williamson is set to star in NBC's suspense-drama pilot Kidnapped, which is slated to begin production shortly in New York.

Delroy Lindo (Domino) and Linus Roache (Batman Begins) are in negotiations to join the project. Carmen Ejogo (HBO's Lackawanna Blues) and Boris McGiver (Taxi) also have been cast.

Kidnapped revolves around a wealthy New York family whose 15-year-old son is held for ransom, with the story being told from multiple points of view.

Williamson, perhaps best known for playing Bubba in Forrest Gump, was most recently in theaters with After the Sunset and The Assassination of Richard Nixon. He also starred in the short-lived NBC series Boomtown. For Lindo, Kidnapped marks his first foray into series television.

Delroy Lindo is a great addition. He doesn't get enough credit for his work.

If this is anything like Boomtown, I am looking forward to it.
