Henry Winkler is launching a new campaign aimed at boosting the confidence of youngsters with special educational needs.

Henry Winkler is backing the First News
My Way! campaign
The Happy Days star and Children's Secretary Ed Balls will meet with the Prime Minister's wife, Sarah Brown, in Downing Street to start the First News My Way! campaign.
Henry said: "Every child has greatness inside them, we need to help them to dig it out and give it to the world - I cannot wait to see who they become."
The campaign will focus on improving attitudes to children with special educational needs (SEN) as well as building self-esteem.
Henry, who played the Fonz in the hit US sitcom, agreed to front the drive due to his own experience as a dyslexia sufferer.
He wasn't diagnosed with dyslexia until he was 30, and has since penned his own series of children's books, about a 10-year-old boy, Hank Zipzer, who has the learning difficulty.

As a mother of a very active and loving special needs child, I am thrilled that he is doing this. Parents like me need all of the encouragement, resources, and inspiration to keep our children inspired as well as empowered. In this day and age when bullying has become a nation wide problem, Henry Wrinkler shines as a beacon. Keep it up!
