Halloween is over and the holidays are still a few weeks away, which can only mean one thing: It's time for November sweeps, that special time of year when the networks clamor for ratings by planning (and promoting the hell out of) high-profile guest-star appearances, show crossovers, and more-dramatic-than-usual plotlines. Monday, November 2

Late Show with David Letterman

Former Vice President Al Gore makes his sixth appearance on the Late Show. It won't be as funny as Letterman's interview with Joaquin Phoenix, but you might learn a thing or two. (11:35pm, CBS)
