Zach Braff single again

Lock up your daughters--Zach Braff is on the prowl again.

Gossip magazine Us Weekly says that according to friends of the couple, Braff and Mandy Moore have ended their year-and-a-half relationship. Braff was seen last week drunkenly carousing at a Hollywood nightspot, even attempting to talk up Jessica Simpson (an endeavor that reportedly failed).

The age difference between the two may have been the cause of their split--Braff is 31, Moore is 22.

"Mandy was very young when they got together, and she wanted to see what's out there, now that she's a woman," a mysterious source told Us. "Zach was mature and realized it was time to let her do that."

Through their publicists, both parties have been denying the breakup for weeks. While the split is reportedly amicable, less so was Moore's recent attack on media reports of the breakup.

"This sort of unscrupulous conduct should be unethical for the media to practice and I'm sickened by the extent that these people are willing to go to make a name for themselves," the actress wrote on her Web site.

Braff is the star of the NBC sitcom Scrubs and made a splash in 2004 with his film Garden State, which he wrote, directed, and starred in. Moore guest-starred last season on HBO's Entourage as herself, a starlet whom main character Vincent Chase was madly in love with.
