Mischievous twins Zack and Cody are growing up and moving on. The Disney Channel today announced that The Suite Life of Zack & Cody will live on in a new show, but instead of being shacked up in a posh five-star hotel, they're causing mayhem on a luxury cruise liner.
The new show will be titled The Suite Life on Deck, and will be a spin-off of the original series. Identical twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse will return as Zack and Cody, who find themselves on the big boat after enrolling in a semester-at-sea program. Spoiled London Tipton (Brenda Song), the heiress to the Tipton empire, will also join the lads on the ship, as will hotel manager Mr. Moseby (Phill Lewis), who will be onboard to watch over all three kids.
This is good news for fans of the Disney hit, as the show was reportedly shelved after three seasons. Suite Life was one of the network's biggest original hits, and garnered an Emmy nomination for best children's program this year.
While the announcement is new, fans of the show have suspected that something was up at Disney for some time now. Cyber-sleuths with an affinity for all things Disney tracked down a series of Suite Life-related domain names registered by the House of Mouse back in October. Among them were several URLs featuring several variations on the new program's title.
Ashley Tisdale, who played Maddie Fitzpatrick in The Suite Life and Sharpay Evans in High School Musical, will not be in the new program.

persnally I think its going to be better than the suite life but I hadn't seen the commercial for it yet but it does sound beter but we have to seee what happens
i liked the original, funny stuff, but i'd like them to be a lttle less Disney kids with this one, the twins r growing up, the characters r getting older and so is the audience, could they maybe deal with some actual serious issues along with the antics, because that's the only way i can see this show making it...

I've been there since the beginning and all the TSL regulars here are supporting the new show. So the rest of you---who cares about your opinion. You're just TSL hating trolls anyway. Who cares about Ashley? TSL was about Dylan & Cole not her, and she can easily be replaced. I never liked her much anyway (Brenda is hotter). Too bad about Kim but wanting to spend time with her new baby is understandable. THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF TSL HATING TROLLS ^^^^ON THIS THREAD. If you guys like Ashley so much stick to HSM.

The ppl on the TSL forum have known this for MONTHS. I'm glad the minor characters are gone--Arwin & Esteban espicially. And for all you Ashley fans ^^^^^ THE SHOW IS ABOUT DYLAN & COLE NOT ASHLEY (even if SHE thinks it is). Maybe Kim will guest star when her baby is older. But I'm glad the show is continuing w/o Ashley or the minor characters.

What about the girl who plays Mr. Moseby's niece Nia? Any chance she's going to be in the show? She'd be a good addition if Ashley Tisdale won't be there. And if Kim Rhodes won't be there, they should have the twins' father be a regular. It would make sense for at least one parent to be there.
This sounds pretty good, I might watch it. (Just hope Cody doesn't get sea-sick, though, or something) But why no Maddie? That sucks! I wanna know more about this Bailey character! NO ONE can replace Maddie...

Okay...to make some things clear. Kim Rhodes is not returning due to her having a baby. She wants to stay at home and take care of her family. However...there may be a chance that she may guest star in some episodes. Ashley Tisdale wants to work on her film career. There is a chance that she may have a recurring role.
The show has some scripts that are done. The show is still casting for a character called Bailey. She will be London's roommate on the show. The Bailey character is going to be a complete opposite of London.
Will it last? How can you have one semester-at-sea program last 3 seasons?Also Maddie and their Mom gave balance to the series.I hope it lasts but . . .

London and Mosbey are my favorite characters so YAAAAY ME ! :lol: although I am really going to miss Maddie and her London/Maddie storylines like when they were stuck in London's closet or when Maddie was helping London look " smartical" infront of the chracter Zac Efron played in that episode.
