Nick Served as the honorary chairperson of the Stuttering Foundation of America's Stuttering Awareness Week in 2001, 2002 and 2003. (edit) Nicholas was Named #4 in the Top Ten Sexiest Men of the Buffy / Angel universe in a fan poll originated by the Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanzine in 2004. (edit) His nickname is "Nicky". (edit) Nick attended Pasadena City College. (edit) While Nicholas was acting on the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, he rode a skateboard in his first scene in the first episode (Welcome to the Hellmouth), but because it was so hard to film that was the only time he ever rode it. Nicholas Brendon: One night I went out into the backyard and I was talking to God - asking for directions - and acting was the answer I got. That was pretty terrifying, because I was not a confident kid. I had a stutter. I had ears that stuck out and acne. I was definitely not cut out for acting. But I decided to chance it. (edit) Nicholas Brendon: Buffy requires a certain level of devotion. It's amazing how committed people are to it. I recently met someone who was completely obsessed with it, and he kept referring to things that had happened on the show that I wasn't even aware of. (edit) Nicholas Brendon: Acting in front of an audience is amazing - you get an energy from the audience that's just like theater. (edit) Nicholas: I love being in the kitchen. It's kind of artistic for me. I definitely enhance and make things up. I'll open up a recipe book and say, "Oh, let's try that and alter it." (edit) Nicholas Brendon: I want people to say, "Nicholas Brendon, he's supposedly the nicest guy in the world." I want to do good work, but more than that, I want to stay a good human being. That's more important than any character I play. (edit)
