Nightingales was a surreal British comedy featuring three night-watchmen and a corpse (they keep the corpse around to collect his wages) in an office tower block somewhere in Britain. Anything can happen from a friendly part-time werewolf performing open heart surgery on one of them, to an allegorical Mary who turns up pregnant at their door on Christmas Eve.
