http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Todays-News/Fall-Tv-Preview/800043277 After the end of season five, a final, 19-episode sixth season will air in early 2011... I think that creatively, the timing is right... |

Yeah, but look how long they are stretching out these last 2 seasons. Season 5 still hasn't finished yet. It's got 8 more episodes to air in January (so we get 2 months worth of episodes)
Then, we have to wait another year until 2010 for season 6, which will be split between 2010 and 2011. |

I agree 100%. I think 27 more episodes is a perfect amount of episodes to have left but why stretch them till 2011? why can't we at least end this in early 2010? I think it's too drawn out and although we will all still watch it I'd rather have a conclusion sooner than later.

The next batch of new episodes is to be called season six, and they are splitting up the last order, so it'll be eight seasons in all. I came here thinking people would be a little upset by it. Really? Nobody? Hmm... |

Yeah, the timing may be right but still . . . . . it is a little sad. We got to know these crazy, sexy people and they are leaving. Oh hum . . . . .

How odd to continue season 5 with 8 more episodes, bringing the total to 22 when all the other seasons have been 13 to 16 episodes long. With such a long gap, it would just make more sense to just split the final 27 episodes over seasons 6 & 7. They'd even be able to make a bit more from the DVD sets that way. Oh well, lots of TV decisions make no sense.
