First of all the Janet and Eddie wolf debachle was great. I laughed so hard at the, you got me a wolf, I got you a wolf, you got me a wolf scene. I think it was cute what Janet ended up giving him, and that Eddie took the time to find out her middle name for her bracelet he got her. Great scenes between them and I think we can all relate to having given the wrong gift to someone, maybe not that extreme, but still. I loved how Physical Phil stood up for Pizza Girl when his parents, especially his father, were making fun of her. I think it was great how he finally told them the truth, because he no longer wanted to make them proud, but he wanted to make Pizza Girl. He also called her his girlfriend for the first time in this episode, so cute. Last we come to the Garretts, my favorite family. I felt so bad that Nick and Ronnie had to find out that their mom knew she was going to die and didn't tell them. I can understand why the Commander and his wife would not have told the boys, but I can also understand them being upset about it. I love how Nick ran into Hannah while he was out walking off his anger and sadness. The love is obviously there between the two of them and I wanted them to kiss under that mistletoe so bad. I love how Hannah said the one thing to make Nick feel better, just like his mother used to do for his father. I felt really bad for Owen, that misinterpreted what was going on when Alison got out of Ikey's truck. He looked so sad, since he thought things were getting better between them. Such a great christmas episode. Can't wait to see more October Road!

    Enjoyable. hide show

Well Christmas was very eventful for the residences of North Ridge. They encounter a lot of pain, a lot of disappointments, a lot of truth and especially, a lot of joy.

Nick is determined to uncover the secrets that his family hides about the Christmas season. Edie and Janet get even closer than before (I really like that since these two are in my opinion, ironically, the perfect match). Pizza Girl helps Physical Phil come out of his closet (no, Phil isn't gay Just when Owen thinks everything is going well, it isn't. Hannah prepares a very beautiful Christmas Eve dinner that no one will be able to appreciate.

It was good, but for a show like this I really don't look for a standalone episode format type. We skipped about a month in between last epsiode and this episode so we could go from Thanksgiving to Christmas. This show is abou building relationships and it doesnt feel right to skip so much time and not have it mean anything. Physical Phil and Pizza girls scenes were solid, with Phil finnaly revealing himself to his parents. I really have gotten attached to Eddie since Season 2 began. He seems to be one of the guys that just changed so much since hes been back, I really like watching his storyline devolop. Then you have Hannahs christmas that feel apart, along with Nicks which we all would have thought would have brought them together. but I think the writers did the right thing about not showing them there. As far as Ikey giving the girl a ride home and having him then go and sit outside for Christmas Eve - only part I didnt like. Episode high some high points, but felt very slow moving.

    A great eppisode! hide show

I really liked this eepy. I thought it was great! (Maybe I'm a sucker for Holiday episodes?) I loved when Janet accidently gave Eddie a wolf for Christmas. It was a great axample of how all of us can, and do mess up...even when we have the best intentions. One thing I didn't like was when Owen saw Alison get out of Ikey's truck. It was very obvious this was going to happen as soon as Alison agreed to get in Ikey's truck. I kinda just want Owen & Alison to work everything out. But what kind of drama would that be? Oh well...It was also good that Nick is moving on. Don't get me wrong, I like Nick & Hannah together, but it's good that he is not moping...That would make him look like a sissy. All in all, this was a very good episode!

    9.5 Superb

It is Christmas time in Knights Ridge, Owen and Allison try to figure out the holiday, Hannah prepares a big feast with few guests, Eddie and Janet exchange gifts, Phil lies to his family, and Nick and Ronnie work to uncover a family secret. hide show

This was a very heartwarming episode. That left me with a lot of questions.

It was very touching learning more about Nick's mom and her battle with brain anneurisms, and why The Commander doesn't want to celebrate Christmas. It did make wonder how old is Ronnie?

I think what this storyline did was provide the inciding incident for the Nick and Hannah reunion tour we all know is coming. Watching her look out the window at the end was very touching.

Poor Allison and Owen, they had the akward sex moment and then she goes and lets Ikey drive her home, only to have Owen across the street, and it is one of those stories no one will believe cause it is too simple. Watching him outside the Garrett home dressed as Santa in the snow, with a defeated look was so sad.

Eddie and Janet, the gift exchange, I follow a strong rule that it is never a good idea to get someone else a pet unless you live together, cause it is giving the gift of responsibility. I thought the gift she eventually gave him, her company was great, and then at the end when he wished Ikey a Merry Christmas, very touching.

The story of Phil and his "other life" was quite interesteding, I give him props for coming clean, maybe now he can finally get some help. I really loved it that he came clean in defense of the Pizza Girl.

I also loved The Pretenders song playing in throughout the end of the episode.
