There is an abundance of holiday songs I like. Among them:

"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)"- Darlene Love (The definitive holiday hit version!)

"White Christmas"- Bing Crosby (Also definitive)

"12 Days Of Christmas'- Allan Sherman (Ultimate comedy classic of the holidays!)

"12 Days Of Christmas"- Straight No Chaser (Also a comedy version)

    "Marshmallow World"- Darlene Love

    "Jingle Bells"- Dean Martin

    "Silent Night"- Stevie Nicks

    "Step Into Christmas"- Elton John

"Joy To the World"- Diana Ross & the Supremes

"Parade Of the Wooden Soldiers"- Crystals

"Jingle Bell Rock"- Bobby Rydell & Chubby Checker

There's just too many songs to mention, but these are among the great holiday faves.

Most of the holiday songs were first recorded in the 1940s, and have had many performers doing versions of the songs since then. You have so many songs and so many versions, it's hard to determine which versions are the best.

Of course, all the tracks on the album "A Christmas Gift For You From Phil Spector" reign as the best performances of holiday music in the last 49 years. Who hasn't thrilled to the magic of holiday hits from the Crystals, the Ronettes, Bob B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans, and especially Darlene Love, the undisputed Queen Of Rock and Roll Christmas Music? It's the definitve album of the holidays!

Recently picked up Christmas albums by Lady Antebellum, Scotty McCreery, and Blake Shelton. More good stuff!

Guess what? Those just happened to be MY two favorites as well! Kathy Mattea had released another Christmas album a few years ago, but I never got the chance to pick it up. Other favorite (complete) albums I love are the very first "A Very Special Christmas" and "Wow Christmas" (by Contemporary Christian artists).
