Here's a very interesting topic I have brought to everyone's attention. When you have gone on vacations or family trips did you ever visit places that were featured in movies and TV shows? When I was young and I visited my godfather when he was still alive I was VERY lucky to eat at the actual CD's Barbecue that was the hangout featured in Walker Texas Ranger and I thought it was an imaginary place until my godfather told me that Walker Texas Ranger was filmed there and today whenever Mom and I see Walker Texas Ranger reruns we remember the time we ate at CD's. We also have gone to the Mall Of America which was used for the movie Jingle All The Way and also my father's work building was featured in Jingle All The Way as well,

What are some actual places from movies and television did you visit in your travels?,

Share your awesome adventures with me,

Not so much travel, but the warehouse my friend's father used to work at which we visited a lot was once used as a gang's hideout in an episode of The Bill which was set in Australia. There is also a bar I often go past on the bus which is used for filming a lot of local TV shows. The Matrix was mostly filmed here in Sydney around the area that I work in so I see a lot of the locations that appeared in it on a regular basis.

For travel though, I'm sure most of us have seen stock footage of the huge scramble crossing in Shibuya, Tokyo. I had a coffee at the Starbucks overlooking that crossing just above the giant TV screen.

I also had the pleasure of visiting the Space Needle that's been featured in Sleepless In Seattle as well and seeing the actual apartment building where Frasier was filmed and it was so cool. We didn't go into the actual building but drove by it,

Thanks for sharing your story LSyd,

I saw the infamous steps from "The Exorcist". I saw Stone Mountain, which showed up in the movie"Six Pack". I also live near Boston, where a lot of scenes are shot for various movies & TV shows. My husband used to be a truck driver, and when we watch "Rizzoli & Isles", he always recognizes tons of the places shown ("I delivered to a place right around the corner," or "See across the street? That's such-&-such store").

I have, only because there was a Sandra Bullock film shot in my hometown. But I didn't really "hang out" there, because it was a courtroom.
