    First of all let me clarify what I mean by a powerful song, a song that transcends music and conveys a deeper level of importance. For me the most powerful song has to be U2's One. Such a deep spiritual song,

    For me, it´s Frank Sinatra "My Way", but it goes on a more personal motives than spirituals.

    There are lots of those for me. Most of them are instrumentals for me, though.

    Sinead O'Conner's "Nothing Compares 2 U" video and song. I mentioned the video because without that the emotion of the song doesn't come across 100%

    Loaf's "I'd do anything for Love", its like a musical journey conveying the different stages of love in 5 minutes

    Queen's "Bohemian Rapsody", it is just such a revolutionary song and whilst it seems to be nonsense actually shows Mercury's feeling about his Homosexuality. It also bring multiple stages into the song and is also the first song to bring multiple genres into a song.

    I´m going to add also, Better Man from Pearl Jam and David Bowie´s The Man Who Sold The World, but again I find both songs entertained to hear.

    I bought her album just to hear that song (I like Pink but love the Indigo Girls). It makes me want to cry every time I hear it b/c it is so true, and I hate that it's true.

    Yeah Bohemian Rhapsody is a powerful song. Another one I like is Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone." One of his best.

    Eh, there is this one song that I really love, though I'm not always willing to admit it. It's "Fallen Angel" by Frankie Valli and it just means something to me on a deep, personal level.

    I forgot Imagine. How could I forget that. It's such a powerful song. Probably the most influential ever.

    I think a powerful song is Blink 182's Not Now. It really defined their memories and the end of the great band. Listen to it, it is powerful.

    A lot of Audioslave's music is deep/powerful. Especially "I am the Highway" and "Last Remaining Light"

    Also... "Yesterday" by the Beatles is probably one of the most powerful songs for me, and I don't generally like the Beatles all that much.
