First of all, why do you think it's bad for little kids? Explain why, and I may agree with you if you give good reasons.

For now, I don't see much wrong with it.

I don't think your reasons for it being bad for kids are very convincing. Sorry, but for now I don't think it is any harm for little kids.

I’ve read an article once that suggested Rugrats was designed to appease pedophiles, in which they claimed all the characters abused their children in ways I cannot describe in this forum post. My point is, people will complain about the content of everything; I know a lot of people are angry about that SpongeBob SquarePants episode, though the series is made in good humour and the episode was made in order to carry out a humorous plot. I mean you no offense and I respect your opinion, though I personally believe there is nothing wrong with SpongeBob SquarePants.

I don't really like SB. My kids don't even watch it. Too weird and boring like some other cartoons.

I personally don't watch the show but I don't think that it is bad for little kids to watch. My little brother watches it and it does no harm to him. Besides there are children shows that actually have semi serious fights in eg Power Rangers that are a bit more harmful because they tend to copy out of that and things can sometimes get dangerous.

Oh and eneterprise, do you think a little child is gonna look at that joke on gayism the same way as you? They wouldn't get those kind of jokes if they are that young.

No, there's nothing wrong with Spongebob. What kid is going to 'absorb' things? I never copied anything from TV when I was a kid unless I was pretending.

First of all, if someone if looking for redeaming value, then why are they watching SBSP? SB is just for mindless entertainment. It wasn't designed to make major moral commentary on society. Its a friggin cartoon! In the immortal words of Whoopie Goldburg, "We don't know s**t about Spongebob except that he lives in a Mutha****ing pineapple under the sea!"

It was a scallop but they're birds in Spongebobland.. And besides, dude, there's plenty of other cartoons and shows that have gay overtones in them. That's a silly reason to think its harming people, you know, unless its got porn in it.

I agree. I saw a website that said Spongebob and a few other shows try to make kids gay
