Do you have a special lovey that you've always cherished? How about your all time favorite childhood toy that you played with a lot? I do and this topic is all about our favorite childhood toys. My all time favorite toy from my childhood was my PJ Sparkles Doll and I LOVED that doll to pieces and when I would go on vacation I never slept without my PJ Sparkles and I still have it today. Another favorite toy of mine was Barbies and my mother and I used to dress them up together as mother daughter time. I now collect stuffed frogs and my favorite lovey is my stuffed Prince Naveen frog and he has been my sleeping companion and he goes everywhere with me and when I need to have a good cry I cuddle Prince Naveen close and he even went to the hospital with me. In fact I have so many frogs that because of my obsession with 1 Vs 100 my father and I refer to them as The Mob,

What was your favorite toy growing up,

I had a small stuffed orange bunny rabbit with felt eyes. It was only about 4" long. I loved that little bunny so much! He would go with me when my family would go on long road trips (I remember almost losing him in New York). He was old when I got him; the only part of him that was still orange was a small spot in the fold of his ear; the rest of him was pale orange, almost beige. I remember giving him to my younger brother, who was 8 years younger than I. Funny thing: I don't remember getting the bunny back, but I somehow I did. He now belongs to my older daughter, whose nickname is Bunny. Now SHE sleeps with him every night.

I remember for one Christmas I had always liked dollhouses and when it was time to make my Christmas List I knew the one dollhouse I wanted and it was the Playskool Dollhouse and I had liked it because it was so amazing with it's musical nursery for the baby and so when Christmas came around my parents saved one extra gift for me to open last and when I finally got my dollhouse I felt just like Ralphie in A Christmas Story and I still have it today,

Does anyone remember the Playskool Dollhouse?,

It is one big bear! At the time I got it, he was bigger than me! Still exists - he is the oldest among my children's toys !

It's hard to say... it was a choice between my Mego action figures and my Evel Knievel stunt cycle (when i FINALLY was able to get one). Unfortunately, I don't have any of them anymore.

When i was 4, my godparents gave me a teddy bear. He was a constant companion through sickness and health. Today, 42 years later, his original eyes are long gone, most of his fur has worn off, he's patched and repaired in about a dozen places, and his stuffing has long since turned rock hard and begun sifting through the fabric he was made of... Yes, I still have him. I never considered him a toy, though. He was and always will be a friend...

Another toy from my childhood that I had always wanted but sadly never got was a Vanna White Doll and everytime my great-grandmother and I would watch Home Shopping Network I would always see Vanna White Dolls advertised and I thought they were wonderful but I never was able to get one and my parents were sorry that they were never able to buy me a Vanna White Doll. I also played with Spice Girls Dolls and I remember my parents driving to every toy store to complete my collection of Spice Girls Dolls and the day that the Spice Girls Dolls made their debut I was stuck at home with chicken pox and I couldn't make it to the store so my father promised me that on his way home from a business meeting he would stop at the toy store to pick me up a Spice Girls Doll and the look on my face when my Dad came homewith my Spice Girls Doll {Which happened to be Baby Spice} was priceless,

Glad to hear such wonderful stories from all of you,

I'm going to show my age:

While I loved to play with Barbies, when I was a child there were also 2 other lines of "fashion" dolls. One line was "Dawn", which was much smaller than Barbie. Her friends were Glori, Angie, Longlocks & Kevin. The other was "Love", which was only a little smaller than Barbie but larger than Dawn. Her friends were Peace, Flower, Soul and Adam. Both sets of dolls had various outfits and accessories (I particularly remember Dawn's beauty parlor). I still have my Dawn dolls in a long case; one of these days I've got to dig them out for my daughters. I don't remember what happened to the Love dolls.

    Google them for a laugh.

I also used to play with action figures and I would make them go on fun adventures and it was great fun and I would use funny voices and accents for them and it was great fun to do with my father on rainy days or when I was sick. And I still do it today with my stuffed frogs by pretending to act out game shows like today I acted out the famous Michael Larson episode of Press Your Luck with my Princess Tiana frog as Janie Litras Louis the alligator as Ed Long and my Prince Naveen frog as Michael Larson and I played the part of Peter Tomarken and believe me acting out scenes from your game shows with your action figures and stuffed animals are fun and is good training to become an actor or actress. I also loved board games and my favorite board game was Candy Land and we would always have fun playing it as a family,

I believe the doll you are talking about was part of a series called The World Of Music and todayif you can find the whole series of dolls they are worth a lot of money and Soul is VERY hard to find because she along with Love was the most popular dolls of The World Of Music series,

I had this stuffed bear I used to sleep with every night. I had had him since I was a baby, but when I got a little old for him I donated him to a church.

I'm only 15 so I'm still "growing up" but my favorite toys to play with when I was little were my little Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars (I have hundreds of them) and my wooden Thomas the Tank Engine train sets.

Of all the times I used to spend with my mother growing up my mother and I would always play and dress up Barbies and we would always buy lots of new fashions for them because my Dad thought that would keep me and Mom busy while my Dad would spend long hours at work and it was great fun. I also had a My Size Barbie doll too dressed as a bride that I had gotten for Christmas and I still have her,

I also had a Nintendo Entertainment System too and I got it when I was little {Around three or so} and Dad and I would spend happy hours playing Nintendo until lunch but it wasn't until my cousin would visit and he would bring his Nintendo games with him on vacation he and Dad would sit for hours playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out and my mother would always tell my cousin and Dad that lunch was served and while they ate I would try to unpause their game and finish their boxing match and you should've seen the looks on Dad's face and my cousin's face when they returned to the Nintendo to find their fight won and I really wasn't in trouble but I got a wonderful punishment of watching them play Nintendo and waiting for my turn. Believe it or not I still have the Nintendo Entertainment System in my family room and it still works to this day. But I remember it as our first family entertainment console that we bought,

I love seeing everyone's great comments here,

    Keep up the good work

I'd have to say it was my Wrestling action figures. Me & my brother had loads of them. We gave them all away to a younger relative years ago. I also had a lot ot Lego but I usually got bored with that a bit too quickly. The matchbox cars were another favorite, had a big box full of them - gave them away too.

In terms of games consoles we went straight from the Sega Master System to the Sega Saturn. I wish we'd be able to get a SNES, I went to my friends all the time to play on his. I've still got a PS1 now - in fact it's the only games console I own!
