Olan Soule began his long career in radio soap operas. His deep voice belied his small frame. He went on to play numerous roles in movies and on television, and was a regular on the TV show Captain Midnight. He may be most recognized for his recurring role on The Andy Griffith Show, in particular as the choirmaster in the episode Barney and the Choir.
Soule dropped out of high school at the age of 17.

Olan voiced Batman in all but the final two incarnations of the SuperFriends. Adam West took over the voice of the hero he made popular in the 60's in "SuperFriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show" in 1984. Olan remained with the show and voiced other characters.
