He is distantly related to Orson Welles and is a second cousin, once removed, of Lady Diana Frances Spencer, the late Princess of Wales. For his Broadway debut in Conor McPherson's Shining City, he was nominated in 2006 for a Tony Award as Best Leading Actor in a Play.
