Omarosa Manigault grew up in the projects of Youngstown, Ohio. She payed for her post-secondary education by entering beauty pageants (she graduated from Central State University, and gained her Master's from Howard), and has worked in the White House as a political consultant. However, she was eventually fired for "leaving an overwhelmingly negative influence everywhere she went." She has also worked as an image consultant for "Miss Thailand."
Omarosa became a contestant on Mark Burnett's reality TV Series, "The Apprentice: The Ultimate Job Interview." Although she didn't come out on top (she was the ninth contestant fired), she was propelled to celebrity status. Due to her performance, which many viewers considered unethical (and illogical), she has been labelled "The Most Hated Woman in America."
Her Apprentice stint lead to mockery on satirical programs such as "Saturday Night Live," but Manigault-Stallworth insists that she was edited to fit the part of the villain (which is common in the world of reality TV). She also accuses fellow contestant Ereka Vetrini of calling her 'the N word.'
This and other controversial behavior, such as an appearance on Oprah, which led to nation-wide criticism of the talk-show host, and an incident regarding waivers from Soap Opera Daily, has made Omarosa a household name. The latest gossip surrounding her career has landed her on the sidebar of "People Magazine's" cover twice in a row.
She is currently using her sudden success to negotiate a talk-show deal and to publicize her forthcoming book. She recently filmed a guest appearance on NBC's daytime soap 'Passions,' a job EXTRA! landed for her. She also plans to work on some production projects.
Her first name was eventually revealed to be Omaroseonee, but she chooses to use Omarosa. Omarosa Manigault grew up in the projects of Youngstown, Ohio.
