Read Full Recap » (warning: possible spoilers!)It is Quentin's funeral and everybody seems to be touched by it, specially Jamie. Brooke's going crazy and starts throwing all her clothes of her store in the street and then asks Peyton for her key back, but she doesn't open up about what happened to Peyton who thinks she's mad about her mom. Haley and Lucas have to talk to their students that Quentin's dead and later both of them plus Skills, Nathan, Peyton and Jamie go to the Field's house to talk to his mother, that's where Jamie meets Andrey, Quentin's brother, and gives him Q's jersey. Nathan and Haley discuss if Jamie should or shouldn't go to Q's funeral, but Jamie acts like a young adult and convinces them that he is mature enough to go to the funeral. Everybody is together in the Scoot house and Brooke makes a really rough comment about the violence in the state and that makes Haley talks to her about doing therapy. Later in that day, Nathan tries to talk to her so she could open up at least a little bit, but she just keep pushing everyone away.
We find out that Carrie had a son and she probably became a psycho after he died, that's the reason she wants to kidnap Jamie, to replace a lost son.
Brooke goes talk to Peyton and apologize for transferring her anger about Victoria to her, then Peyton shows her part of the clothes that she threw on the street. The girl that shoplifted from Clos Over Bros shows up in Haley's class and she recognizes somehow that she's the girl. When she gives them an assignment, Sam, the girl, does really well at it.
In the Funeral, Deb stands up for Skills and Nathan doesn't like it at all. When Q's been berried Jamie gives him his own tribute and when Brooke sees him do it she finally loses it and cries.
The aftermath of Q's death. hide show
i couldnt decide between the classification "tearjerker" or "series classic" but it was definitely both! EPIC! the emotion shown by each and every character was sensational i dont think that i have seen better from them. the all around episode was fantastic and did not leave anyone i know with dry eyes. Q's death was a very sad sad event but I wasnt sure if they could pull this off emotionally. but they lived up to their standards and brought yet another very powerful and heartbreaking episode. amazing acting done by the actors and just i have nothing more to say then WOW!
This was a very sad episode, as the people of Tree Hill mourn the death of Quinton. I was very impressed at the performances the cast gave. hide show
In this episode we see the loss of a wonderful character. Quinton gets gunned down and the whole town is grieving. Skills goes to Luke's, we see Nathan on the basketball court calling Q, leaving a message on his voicemail just before Haley drives up and tells him the news. The saddest part is when Haley and Nathan have to tell little Jamie. We see flashbacks that Nathan is having. All the while we have Brooke's troubles going on, and the side story of Nannie Carrie and Dan. All in all, it was a beautifully written episode, but I personally hated to see the loss of Q. I was really starting to like him.
The people of Tree Hill deal with Q's death hide show
This episode opens with everyone learning about Q's death. Nathan & Haley (Naley) try to work out the best way to tell Jamie about Q's death. Everyone seems to have been deeply affected by his death. They all head over to his house, where Jamie meets his little brother. When Jamie meets him and the little boys talk it brought tears to my eyes. Q's mother talks to Lucas. She thanks Haley for getting him into his schoolwork. Jamie gives Q's baby brother Q's basketball top form his locker. Naley agree that Jamie shouldn't go to Q's funeral. Deb tells Skills that she is there for him. But he seems too consumed with grief to really care. Haley offers Brooke the phone number of a therapist of she learns that Brooke has a lot going on in her life. Dan yet again tries to escape, but fails and also discovers the place in the back garden where Carrie buried her son! A new girl starts in Haley's class and we see that it is the same girl from the Clothes over Brothers store, who stole from Brooke.
Haley gets all of the kids in her class to write on Q's desk. When everyone is getting ready for Q's funeral when Brooke gets a visit from Nathan. Nathan tells her that they know she is going through some stuff but they are all there for her. Before the funeral we see Skills in the gym crying. Jamie dresses himself and tells his parents that he wants to go to the funeral to say goodbye. To the surprise of everyone at the funeral, Deb walks away from Nathan, and goes to Skills and puts her arm around him. We see the basketball team turning up at the funeral. Q's brother puts on the jersey top and stands with the team. At the end of the funeral we see Jamie placing the cape over Q's coffin. This simple act by a child made both Brooke and myself brake down in tears of pure emotion. Jamie grabs her hand and holds her tight.
After Q's Death Haley and Nathan have to cope with their own feelings as well as trying to explain it to Jamie. Brooke deals with her own Trauma in a different way and we see lucas and the rest of Tree Hill try to deal with loss hide show
A great episode and a fine example of how people try to cope with death and loss in their own ways. The way parents have to tell their children and also hoe a teacher has to explain the death of a fellow student. the way in which she has to explain how life has a point and purpose and that life is worth living. Also shows how a team sticks together through thick and thin and that the word TEAM means something more than an individual. It was a great episode that really made you feel the emotions that the characters felt. the acting was superb and the background music score and way in which the show was edited was amazing. very well put together .
