Meanwhile, Haley and Nathan grow closer until Brooke spreads a vicious rumor that leaves Haley devastated. Not bad. Some parts of season 1 were pretty boring, though. I love Brooke. She and Nathan are the best parts of the show. Whitey is very annoying, though. I like that Haley is becoming friends with Peyton now. =] I can't believe that Brooke said that Nathan passed around that love note! I still love her though. =] YAY for Lucas and Peyton kissing. =]
guess, parties in Tree Hill never ends well... hide show
so there's a party in Dan Scott's house and all core characters are there. and all of them could be happy together, I mean Lucas and Peyton, Nathan and Haley, but... happiness is not right for Tree Hill, they used to drama and tragedy.
so we see enough drama. Brooke is drunk and tries to destroy some kind of relationship between Luke and Peyton. but it doesn't work so she switches to Nathan and Haley...and yep, bingo, Haley runs away and doesn't want believe Nate anymore. Brooke, alcohol is bad not only for your health but for people around you!
in mean time Lucas and Peyton spend the great time together. and everything could end like in Lucas' dreams, but... he starts talking about how long he has been waiting for this moment and that he wants everything with her. what a stupid guy! you could do it after!!! well, apparently Peyton is not ready to open her heart to a new guy or whoever so she runs away.
enough drama, enough tragedy... and Lucas and Haley meet in the cafe where they started. and yep, guys, probably it would be better for you to live in your world 'coz these popular kids won't make the life easier, they'll bring enough problems!
and parents... I just admire how nice woman Deb was in the S1.
FAVE SCENE: Lucas and Peyton's first kiss.
FAVE QUOTE: Jake (to Brooke): The Truth would kill your buzz.
I think this is cosidered a charcter develped becuase of the fact that Lucas, Peyton, and Brooke all showed a different side. Plus Nathan became the bad guy when we thought that he had finally changed. Haley showed her sad and working side. Great Episode. hide show
Life in a Glass House is the seventh episode of the first season and the entire series. It aired on the WB on November 4, 2003. I like this episode because Brooke shows what a complete **** she can be, Peyton did the same in the section of love, and Lucas showed his loving boyfriend side to Peyton, BIG mistake. Nathan also showed that that he did change and Haley showed her vornable side. Dan showed his bad side with Deb and Karen. Deb showed her nice side and Karen stayed the same. I love this episode because each character showed a different side to themselves so they didn't stay robots. This is a great episode from the whole series.
I have to hate Brooke in this epi! Everyone who is rooting for her and Lucas later on must have missed this epi... hide show
I just re-watched this episode... and this is where all the drama that will last for years is grounded! When I saw this for the first time, I only thought Brooke would be a small obstacle for Lucas and Peyton, I couldn't imagine that this would be the point were the drama begun.
But anyways. It's a great episode, it would have been a ten if it didn't destroyed Lucas & Peyton for the foreseeable future. The drama between Karen and Keith vs. Dan, and how Karen and Deb is getting friendly and we could all see how much Dan disliked that prospect.
And back to Brooke... how can someone be so mean to her own best friend? Can't she see how much Peyton likes Lucas? Is her need for confirmation bigger than the true love of her friend? I don't get it!
This episode is where I begun to deeply dislike Brooke and my conviction of the Peyton & Lucas alliance was set in stone...
There is a party at Dan and Deb's place for the basketball team. Bad memories are brought back and new relationships are formed. Lucas finally makes a move on Peyton. Brooke is playing games with people by messing with Nathan, Peyton, Haley and Lucas. Haley is very sad when Brooke reads out the card she gave to Nathan and tells lies about it. Karen and Deb become friends, while Keith and Dan are still arguing. Jake has a daughter.
This was a great episode! Besides Lucas and Peyton almost having sex, it was good. Also, Brooke getting drunk wasn't a good idea. I actually like Deb and Karen as friends. I didn't like Brooke though. This episode gets a 9.5 out of 10!
