Set in the fictional small town of Tree Hill, NC, this teen-driven drama tells the story of two half brothers, who share a last name and nothing else. Brooding, blue-collar Lucas is a talented street-side basketball player, but his skills are appreciated only by his friends at the river court. Popular, affluent Nathan basks in the hero-worship of the town, as the star of his high school team. And both boys are the son of former college ball player, Dan Scott, whose long ago choice to abandon Lucas and his mother Karen, will haunt him long into his life with wife Deb, and their son Nathan. Until now, Dan has managed to keep his two sons far from each other.   The original concept of the show is about two half-brothers who's worlds collide when they both find themselves on the same basketball team. They clash over basketball and to make matters worse they find themselves immersed in non-stop relationship drama. hide « show »

  OTH is a guilty pleasure kind of show. The writing is eh and the dialogue is atrocious but at the end of the day, I think OTH has 5 of the most likable characters in television with an incredible dynamic (especially in the earlier seasons). If you're debating on watching this show, know that you're going to get a lot of cheesy moments, many predictable moments, and unrealistic couple drama. On a more positive note, the show really does have a heart at the center, and develops a deep persona as a primetime serial. It's just good drama for good-looking actors.

  This series follows the eventful lives of some high-school kids in Tree Hill, a small but not too quiet town in North Carolina, where the greatest source of pride is the high school basketball team, the Ravens. hide « show »

  I love this show. It hits all the points of the ups and downs in life. It's great how we get to see kids grow up to become adults and parents, and seeing parents become grandparents. Sometimes it's unrealistic because face it everyone is gorgeous on this show... even the "nerds". Like I said its a great show the only thing that I don't like is that they don't have a theme song anymore. I hope they'll consider having one again. I love this show and I hope we get to see them grow old or at least get to see Jaime graduate!

  With 2 brothers one future sister inlaw 2 cheerleaders and the reat of the gang forms the town known as tree hill. There is lucas, nathan the two brothers, theres haley the wife and sister inlaw, the two bestfriends as well as cheerleaders peyton and brooke. One tree hill starts off with these two brothers not even knowing each other untill one decided to join the ravens basketball team. Nathan bullied lucas to quit the team and live his own life not his. They were both exellent at basketball. Lucas bestfriend haley tutored nathan but she would only do it if he stayed away from lucas but like that was going to happen. At the time nathan was going out with peyton but they were always broke up with each other and got back together the next day. The thing was Lucas fancied peyton and sent her artwork to a magazine known as thug because she didnt have to nerve to do it she told lucas her art mattered she needed that. Brooke also fancied lucas as soon as he joined the basketball team but lucas did not feel the same way. Then haley told lucas that she liked nathan they started to go out. At a party lucas made out with peyton and told her how he wanted to grow old with her and she got freaked out and ran off. So the night after lucas hooked up with brooke and peyton walked in on them. So brooke went out with lucas and then peyton told lucas that nothing could happen with them because he was going out with brooke which was her best friend they formed a love triangle which brooke didi not know about until lucas brooke up with her. then a few seasons later nathan and haley were married and had a kid called jamie. Lucas married lindsey but she said no then he married peyton shortly after that, mouth was a proffesional news reporter, peyton was pregnant, brooke wanted a family, lucas had his own movie, skills fell in love with nathans mum, keith was missed and dan was captured and held hostage by jamies old babysitter who got in the same shower as nathan. One tree hill is a great programme it tells you how people can survive with so much heartache. I have watched them all they are fantastic!! Georgia Hunt x

  The story started out about two Scott brothers and their love for basketball. It was awesome! Then they did a four year leap and ruined it. hide « show »

  This show used to be awesome! When it began it was about two brothers and their rivalry, as well as the love for basketball. Now it's an empty shell of what it used to be. The leap they took from being teenagers and ending highschool, to after their college years never really played out well. I think all the characters did not do a great job portraying their adult versions. But I don't think that's cause of the acting, it's mainly because of the writing. The last few seasons had boring storylines, and the last season was the worst in my opinion. It's a shame, with season 1-3 I couldn't wait for a new episode. Now, I just watch it to know how it's gonna end. Which I hope will happen soon. I don't understand why this show got another season, what is there left to tell? It pretty much did a good job of wrapping up all the storylines anyway. I say, just watch everything up until they leave highschool and be entertained. The rest can be forgotten. A few highlights of the show for me:
  - Dan Scott; what a bastard, he is the character you'll love to hate.
  - The friendship between Brooke and Peyton.
  - Karen and Keith storyline - The relationship between the brothers Lucas and Nathan - The ultimate lovestory Nathan and Haley - Brooke being Brooke, period.

  This show used to be great, I loved it. But now it is getting really boring with so much drama between Lucas and Peyton, Sam and Brooke, etc. The show is BORING and every episode is the same. I think the show got boring when season 5 started. They should've never done the 4 years later thing. At first it was good, then fair, but at this point is boring. The writers should make like a total spinoff with the story to attract more attention, i dont have clear ideas for what they should do but the show is not the same as when it started. The show started in rivalry between 2 brothers and know they like each other? I know that the concept of showing the characters 4 years later is to show how mature they are but after almost 2 seasons of that is just boring.
