Set in the fictional small town of Tree Hill, NC, this teen-driven drama tells the story of two half brothers, who share a last name and nothing else. Brooding, blue-collar Lucas is a talented street-side basketball player, but his skills are appreciated only by his friends at the river court. Popular, affluent Nathan basks in the hero-worship of the town, as the star of his high school team. And both boys are the son of former college ball player, Dan Scott, whose long ago choice to abandon Lucas and his mother Karen, will haunt him long into his life with wife Deb, and their son Nathan. Until now, Dan has managed to keep his two sons far from each other. But the past and present collide sharply when Tree Hill's basketball coach recruits Lucas for his team, much to the chagrin of Nathan and Daddy Dan. • The Most Unrealistic Thing Happened On OTH?

  What do you guys think is the most unrealistic things to happen on OTH? Personally, I can get passed stuff like Haley's tour...more

  What do you guys think is the most unrealistic things to happen on OTH? Personally, I can get passed stuff like Haley's tour, Brooke's fashion line success and big bands performing in a small town...it's kind of, suspension of disbelief. It's things that go against the character that I find most unrealistic and, hey, it's going to be an unpopular choice by Nathan and Haley's first wedding is up there. Paid for by savings from the tooth fairy, Haley and Nathan married waaay too young - esspecially as we were supposed to view Nathan as some boy slut and Haley as some shy, retiring and sensible girl throughout Season One. They married, like a month after Haley had no trust in Nathan whatsoever...seriously, 22 weeks they went from not knowing each other, to Nathan using her, from Haley hating him, to accepting his ahnd in marriage? Are we really supposed to believe Haley would even consider marrying him? It was contrived, rushed and completely unrealistic. It's embarassing to watch the first/second episode of Season 2 with Brooke/Tim/Peyton, etc...talking about how they're friends are now married... *** I also think the shooting of Keith was, perhaps not unrealistic, but STUPID. Spending 40 minutes putting out a thought-proving piece of television. The impact of bullying and then the how the media use it fr entertainment. It was amazing. And then they go totally against what they'd been saying for the last 40 minutes in the final 5 minutes. Just devalued the whole episode. What are your opinions? less

  it is getting boring hide show

  i use to be a fan but its getting sooo boringg same old stories no new person. the old brook was much funner now she is like grandmothers and keep calling herself a mum for someone who is sort of same age as she is
  pleaseeee make it more exciting not sadder but funnier and more young than all being parents and keep having jamie in the show he is cute but not for seeing him all the time it's like watching kids programs it used to be so exciting when they were at high school and had more exciting dramas

  In this episode Renee comes on Dan's show and we find out the truth whether Nathan is the father of her baby. We also go into Quinn's marriage and her past with David. We also find out the back story of Clay and Sara hide show

  This episode was by far the best I've seen this season. It really had me going. For a minute there I thought Nathan was actually the father. I am so glad this is not the case. I love Naley. They are still going strong after all these years. I never would have imagined that Clay lost his wife the way he did, and it explains a lot about his character. I feel so bad for him. As far as him and Quinn goes I see great potential there, but she needs time to heal from her broken marriage. I also feel bad for David. He tried to do everything for Quinn but she left him because he wasn't the dreamer she wanted him to be. I love seeing Brooke and Julian together. They're great but not ready for marriage yet. I still wish they'd bring back Leyton, just for one episode.

  The Best Show Ever hide show

  One tree hill is undoubtedly my favorite show.I have been the biggest fan of this show since the first season.After i watch episode i feel happier.In one word it's perfect.
  Season 1 isexcellent as we start to get to know the characters and care for them.My favorite season 1 episodes are:the pilot,with arms outstretched,life in a glass house,the games that play us
  Season 2 is also great and the storylines were breathtaking.The separation of haley and nathan was very sad but i was certain that they would make their relationship work.My favorite season 2 episodes are:i will dare,unopened letter to the world,lifetime piling up,the leavers dance.
  Season 3 is my second favourite season as it was truly amazing.Keith's death was very emotional and very unexpected and the fact that his own brother killed him for something he didn't do made it even more unfair.My favorite s3 episodes are:with tired eyes,tired minds,tired souls,we slept,the wind that blew my heart away,the show must go on,when it isn't what it should be.
  Season 4 is my favorite season because it had very strong storylines such as the state championship episode or Peyton's stalker brother.It is definitely the most intense season.My favorite S4 episodes are:some you give away,prom night at hater high,all of a sudden i miss everyone,you call it madness but i call it love.
  Season 5 is a good season but not a great one.The four year jump was a very good idea but was not executed perfectly.Also,i don't really like the character of millicent.My favorite s5 episodes are:four years,six months,two days,hundred,life is short,what comes after the blues.
  Season 6 is my least favorite season because there some weak stories like the forties episode or lucas's movie that was shut down before it even started.My favorite s6 episodes are:get care.wear cape.fly.,things a mamma don't know,remember me as a time of day.
  Season 7 so far has been quite descent even though lucas and peyton are gone.The characters of clay and quinn are awesome and the storyline about nathan cheating is very intruiging.the only thing that is bugging me is Dan's talk show and the fact that he is married to rachel.

  Open your eyes! One tree Hill is still alive!
  After a predicted drop in the ratings due to the departure of Peyton & Lucas, the narrator did an extremely good job in creating new and exciting storylines. hide show

  The new actors in the show makes the show look more mature.
  At the end of the day, everybody lies, the only thing is that it is best to pretend something holds and sometimes it actually does. You just have to be lucky I guess... Rather then give you another classical review about this great show I could only recommend you to start it all from the beginning, only then you can appreciate the true impact of these current episodes.
  I am happier telling you about my ideas for what 'should' happen and why.
  
  - Haley should get over the cheating of Nathan at least so she could save her marriage and especially preserve Jamie.
  
  - Quinn will eventually get caught and it could get ugly. David might try to save in vain the few hopes he has but I wouldn't be surprised if eventually they even get back together. Of course, by that time, we would have discovered that:
  
  - Nathan was in fact the father of Kate French (forgot her name in the show).
  
  - MIA & Chase should get more involved with the rest of the tribe, get involve in some relationship awkwardness -Rachel she could make a special come back with her boytoy Dan, although Nathan would certainly not like that.
  
  - Eventually, Peyton could (will) say hi, but what about Lucas will he ever come back as a guest? Please contact me if you have some info about that.
  
  - Milli and Marvin will soon break up, this story simply cannot work any longer.
  Especially with Alexis who really like stirring things up like stealing Brook's boyfriend and turning Milly against her best friend. I want to see more soft girl on girl action, I mean in terms of One Tree Hill standards.
  I hope my essay doesn't get removed. I believe it is totally valid I just love this show and I hope they won't just kill it at the end of this season.

  Well I just have one word to describe the show, Brilliant. The show follows the lives of teenagers living in a small town called 'One Tree Hill' through the eyes of Lucas Scott – who is the main character. It tells us how the outsiders (Haley, Lucas, Mouth etc) fit into the cool club (Peyton, Nathan, Brooke) through basketball. The show also focuses on Dan – who is Nathan and Lucas's dad. It's really hard not to hate Dan by the way plus he also kills his own brother. There are also a lot of break ups, hook ups and teenage drama. And also the love between Lucas and Peyton which gets boring after a few series – but this does not ruin the show. One tree hill has all the emotions you can imagine – hurt, love, anger, happiness, jealousy etc. It's basically is a rollercoaster of emotions and great to watch when you're feeling down.
