This show seems great. First thing I love the 1980s it seemed just a great decade. I was born in 1987. I have seen 1 episode which i got from tape trading. The 1 episode i saw was the best and sweetest ever. It was 'A Point Of View' dated: 1987. It is the episode in which the great little child actress from the Poltergeist movies(played little Carol Ann)(Heather O' Rourke)she is the best child actress ever i have seen and so cute and adorable as well. This episode shows little Heather as a little blind girl who teaches another little kid 'Molly' to treat her the same as an ordinary kid, and i like the fact that Molly pretends to be blind and puts a blind fold over her eyes for a night just to feel it might not be different at all. And the fire scene where the house catches on fire and the mum comes in to get the girls. I love the scene where Molly's grandpa tries to scare them and Molly doesn't think so, and her grandpa jumps out and sacres them both and they run into there bedroom laughing, it was a funny and cute scene. At the end Guss learns to accpect the new lady to become president because he learnt this from his granda daughter Molly that after a while she treated Heather as a normal kid and Guss learnt from that to accpet the women to become president. Great episode. 10/10 and the acting was great.

A great show that was not giving a fair chance! hide « show »

I first saw Wilford Brimley in Abscense Of Malice. He was the crusty, old fashioned justice department lawyer who set Paul Newman and Sally Field straight in the end. He also played a bad guy in Act Of Vengeance.

I think this show was his best work because the character was written just for him, a lovable old curmudgeon with his heart on his sleeve. Deidre Hall is a beautiful woman and a great actress. She was wonderful as the stern, strict, but loving mother on this show. What I liked is that every episode had a moral or a lesson to it. My family and I used to watch this every Sunday. The first season was great, but for some reason every episode on the second season got dumber and dumber and then it was cancelled. I think they should have gotten some better writers because this was a show that I think was worth saving.

A superb family drama hide « show »

I'd love to have this show on DVD for our family library. It's one of those shows I don't want my children to miss out on because of all the rare morality in it. I didn't agree with every single aspect of it, but it still provided enough to be the truly inspiring program that it was. It ended way too soon. There was so much more they could have done with it. I think it was both Deidre Hall's and Shannon Dougherty's best work. And Wilford Brimely is a much better grandpa than he is a promoter of oatmeal and blood sugar testers!

another great family show bits the dust hide « show »

another great family show bits the dust. I remember this show being very well written and the casting was great. It was what life is like when you have to move back home with your kids. The struggles of trying to be independent yet abiding by the rules of the parent or parents. It show the difficulty of knowing you are not able to raise your kids or keep yourself afloat. That you have to go back home to be able to survive. It also showed how these things can be worked out. Its all a matter of respect for ones self and ones family. Another great family gone off TV.
