Socialite to play herself in My Name is Earl's one-hour return; Addison returns to Grey's for one ep.
Love her, hate her, or really, really hate her, Paris Hilton will continue to remain in the limelight as long as people will talk about her. Late last month, Us Magazine reported that Paris Hilton would be returning to television sometime in the future courtesy of a new reality show following her search for a new best friend.
Now it appears as though the wealthy socialite will now be on television sooner than expected. Hilton will be guest starring on NBC's My Name is Earl when the show returns with a one-hour episode on April 3, the network said today. She'll stretch her acting range by playing herself in the show.
While some may see the addition of the often-despised Hilton infecting the comedy, at least one person involved with the show has a sense of humor about it.
"When we wrote the role of Paris Hilton in the script, we weren't exactly sure who to go with for the role," Earl creator Greg Garcia said in a statement. "But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton. I can't wait to see what she does with the role and I can't wait for America to discover her."
From much despised to much loved, actress Kate Walsh (pictured, above) is returning to guest star in Grey's Anatomy, according to Entertainment Weekly. The redhead currently stars in Private Practice, a new series that was successfully spun off from Grey's last year.
Walsh will play the popular doctor Addison Montgomery--also the main character from Practice--on Grey's for one episode. ABC has not stated which episode of Grey's Walsh will guest in.
New episodes of Grey's Anatomy will begin airing on ABC on April 24. Private Practice has been held until next fall.
