The members of the rock band Rising Stars spend time at Passion Cove preparing for an important gig. The band manager, Stark, is all business. His rules are get to practice on time, work hard, no alcohol and drugs and no monkey business but Jade and Ty check out the pantry anyway. What they’re cooking isn’t kosher. Stark believes in what he says but his relationship with Patty violates his rules. The male members are ready to revolt against Stark but it will take a vote of the whole group to remove Stark from his position as band manager. Finally the group gets together and decided to dump Stark before their upcoming concert.
Peter has other problems. He is writing a new song and the words just won’t come. Stark suggests he work on the melody and let the words follow.
At the next rehearsal Jade is missing so Ty volunteers to go fetch her. Jade is waiting for Ty…in the shower. The couple repeats their pantry performance while the rest of the band waits. The delay allows Peter to sit on the beach and work on the song. Patty walks by and sits by his side. Their conversation turns to lost opportunities and they take advantage of the opportunity to make up for lost time.
Back in the beach house, Peter spots Jade and Ty together and is thrilled. He tells Ty about Patty and his breakthrough. Both men think it is the perfect solution to the difficulties between band members once Stark is eliminated,
At the next rehearsals, Peter introduces his new song to the group. Everyone is enthusiastic. Then Stark tells the band that he is leaving the band to a new position in management. His first piece of business will be to sigh The Rising Stars to a record contract.
The bickering group is united for the first time and the two couples can openly admit their feelings.
