Joelle dresses carefully as if for big date but she has more in store than romance. When she arrived at the Passion Cove beach house she has a specific plan on her mind and there are several players in her play of revenge.
First to arrive is Brian a sometimes actor who Joelle has hired to play a specific part. Brian has recently broken up with his girl friend, which is convenient although not necessary for Joelle’s plan. He asks about Joelle’s latest amore. She tells him that they also broke up.
Brian asks what role he is to play. “My new boyfriend” she says. She goes on to tell a confused Brian how she had fallen in love with Travis (at this point the narrative is interrupted for the obligatory love scene). When she continues Joelle says he had dumped her saying he found his true love. Joelle is too intent on her ploy to notice that Brian is there for anything she wishes. At this point it becomes obvious that they have a history but one that is not defined at this point. Joelle reveals her plan to Brian. She has invited Travis back to the beach house and…get revenge.
To Joelle, Brain’s clothes are not luxurious enough; she wants nothing of pet names. Brain suggests she wear something sexier. The plan is not coming together as quickly as Joelle had foreseen. Brian tells her that they have known each other forever in fact (big foreshadow here) he isn’t sure why they have never been in love. Timing Joelle says, still not getting the point.
A knock on the door heralds Travis’ arrival. Joelle has stage fright but Brian reassures her. She answers the door with a smile. Travis is courteous and introduces Mary Ann, the other woman. Joelle manages a polite “come in” after she scans up and down Marry Ann’s curvaceous body.
The sun is shining when Joelle calls Samantha and asks to extend her star a few more days.
Joelle is at a loss for something sexy to wear. Brian suggests a garment, which Joelle points out, is a slip. Marry Ann would were it Brian tells her. That makes up Joelle’s mind. Telling Brian to turn his back Joelle dons the slip while Brian watches every move in a full-length mirror. I’d remove the lingerie it looks smoother under the silk”, Brian says “If you haven’t already” Brian tells her nicely covering the fact that he had seen every bit of Joelle’s lovely body.
When the two couples get together, Joelle asks Marry Ann what she does. “I write erotica” is the reply. How long has it been since you and Joelle saw each other? A year Travis replies, I didn’t know she had found anyone else he adds.
Travis and Marry Ann excuse themselves and proceed to engage in furious and nosy sex that angers Joelle. Brian offers to fake a similar amount of noise but Joelle declines and runs off to a place where she can watch as her former boyfriend and his buxom playmate cavort on their bed. Joelle is distressed and frozen in place but Brian has followed her and leads her away from the erotic scene.
When the four get together, Joelle and Brain blow their cover being unable to answer Marry Ann’s questions without contradicting themselves. Joelle leaves the house and Travis follows her. He comes on to her reaches under her dress and begins making love to her but Joelle realizes that Travis is just playing her and she runs off to the beach. Brian follows her and somehow Joelle realizes that she has been playing with the man she should be pursuing. I think our timing is getting better she says leading to the ever present Passion Cove especial… love on the beach.
Joelle and Brian see Travis and Mary Ann off. She has her revenge but it isn’t the way she thought it was going to be. Travis may be sorry but she doesn’t care. She has found the love she didn’t know was there, right in front of her.
