Pat began his broadcasting career in 1985, in Kitchener, Ontario. He moved to New Brunswick before returning to CTV in Toronto in 1990, where he worked as a reporter. In 1998, he began the Consumer Alert reports for CTV, and is now recognized nationally as a consumer advocate. He makes many public appearances to speak about consumer and safety issues. As of 2006, he resides in Ajax, Ontario, with his wife and family.
