He enjoys cycling, cross-country skiing and music. While he doesn't own any pets of his own, he loves dogs. If he didn't work as an actor, he would have engaged in an occupation that would have allowed him to work outdoors.

He is also a musician as well, playing the acoustic guitar, the 5-string banjo, and the fiddle. "I quite like Irish and old-time fiddle music. I also like blues and classical music."
