In 1995, 2004 and 2006, Paul was nominated for SAG Guild Awards. In 1995, Paul was nominated for Nobody's Fool in the category of "Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role". In 2004, Paul was nominated for "Our Town" in the category of "Oustanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries". In 2006, Paul won the SAG Award for "Empire Falls" in the category of "Oustanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries".
