Wow, they grow up so fast...  Aaron Carter, teen heartthrob, and barely 18 years old has proposed to Playboy Playmate Kari Ann Peniche on Saturday.  Aaron has had a pretty tumultuous time of it lately over the past few years... he's certainly had his share of family troubles (his parents' divorce and remarriages, his lawsuit against his mother) and career troubles (coping with the realities of being a former teen idol), but it sure was a shock to hear that he's engaged.  Well I only wish the best for Aaron, as a long-time fan I'm a little crushed.  Here's hoping he finds the happiness he seeks  Good luck to you, A.C.

Okay, it was announced today that Aaron Carter has broken off his one-week engagement to his Playmate fiancee, after he realized that his proposal was hasty and that he is not ready for marriage. I'm glad A.C. came to this realization BEFORE he entered into a hasty marriage, which would most likely lead to an inevitable divorce. However, the skeptic in me is wondering if this wasn't all just a publicitiy stutnt to garner press for Aaron's upcoming reality series, "House of Carters." Oh well, at least Aaron's fans can breathe a sigh of relief for now... AHHHH, their favorite heartthrob is single again
