While television audiences might recognize her as Emily Draper, teenage daughter of Juliet Draper (Miranda Otto
), on Cashmere Mafia
, Addison Timlin is probably most known for appearing in National Tour of a production of Annie
in 2000-2001. As early as age five in her hometown of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Addison has already been performing in school plays. When she turned eight, she persuaded her parents to accompany her to try out for Annie
in Manhattan, New York. Her parents obliged, she got accepted in the auditions, and her family settled in New York in support of her acting dream.
For three years since she was nine, Timlin has performed every orphan role and the title character Annie in several various productions of the popular play in New York and around the country. To aid her professionally, Addison got herself a talent agent who helped her break into Broadway where she received a $70,000 salary for her appearance in Gypsy
, with Sam Mendes
at the helm. In 2005, Timlin landed her first-ever film role as Amy Schine, the diabetic daughter of Clive Owen
and Melissa George
in the suspense drama Derailed
. Owen was most impressed with her performance as he considered her "terribly smart" and having "a very long future because she's terribly shrewd."
Addison continued improving on her craft and enrolled in the prestigious Professional Performing Arts School in New York City under the tutelage of Greg Parente. While studying, Timlin booked several film and television projects including the role of Charlotte Hanson, Stanley Tucci
's daughter on the short-lived CBS medical drama 3 Lbs.
and the character Amy in the indie film Afterschool
, which played in several international film festivals including Cannes and Tribeca. In 2009, Addison was chosen to star as the rebellious, sassy teenager Hunter in the post-apocalyptic NBC series Day One
