Addy began her acting career at eight years old. She played the part of a young Dakota Fanning in the film The Secret Life of Bees.

The auditions for The Walking Dead was so secretive that Addy never even knew what the show was essentially about or what the name of it was.

Addy has received private training from actor Kelly Lintz. Kelly is also the mother and manager of Madison Lintz who played Sophia on The Walking Dead, in which Addy guest starred in.

Addy has taken improvisational lessons from Vonna Woodard, Maxann Crotts-Harvey and Gerry Gibson.
